Finally got the time to install mine the other day. Took me an hour and half to do the front without a spring compressor. Rear took about two and a half hours. Ride is nice, stiffer than the Bilstein shocks I have on my long travel XJ but it feels more stable at highway speeds, which I like. I'll be ordering some camburg uca's to perfect the alignment this week. I also decided since I do limited hauling, to see what the rear feels like after 90 days with the third leaf and the overload spring removed.

I also did the carrier bearing drop from OME and a 3* shim from Toytec. The truck is a 6 speed manual and now it goes in and out of gear much smoother and no longer has axle wrap issues or take off vibrations. Glad I shimmed.

    90021's, 887's, Dakars, 255's, trim packer.
    No pre lift measurements.

Post lift measurements as follows (full tank of gas).

Tire - center of hub to fender/ground to fender

    FR - 23"/38.5"
    RR - 23.75"/39.25"
    FL - 23"/ 38.5"
    RL - 23.25"/38.5

I hope my post will be useful to some, this thread answered a lot of my questions when I was trying to decide which lift to go with. I would also like to add that if you are considering installing this lift yourself, you should go for it. This lift is fairly easy to install and there are several walk-throughs and write-ups to be found between YouTube and a quick Google search. Good luck and have fun!

First picture is the before, the rest are after pics.

Does anyone have pictures or a thread that can show what was needed to get trimmed to fit 33's with a 5100/887/LR UCA/ Dakar? Thanks TW fam

255's are 33" - I didn't think I would like them so much, but they really are a great tire. Even picked up 2mpg with the pizza cutters.

255's are the width of the tire, not the height

    No, but it's a 6 speed manual.

Technically speaking, that is a correct statement. I felt it was obvious shorthand for 255/85R16.

I was just going on what you said "255's are 33's" No big deal

I guess I'll rephrase the question:

Anyone run 275/70/17 with the full OME 3" and have any serious rubbing issues? Trying to figure what size tire to get after I install the lift.

What do you consider serious rubbing? And what wheel are you putting them on

Oh I guess that would've helped.
Just gonna run SCS stealth 6 and by serious rubbing I mean having to cut/chop.

I'm hoping with the 3 inch lift from the OME and new UCA I'll be good

Alright, another shock goes clank over speed bump question.

For those that have this problem/noise,would you say it almost sounds like a "boing". Like pushing on an old spring matress boing. 2 years on the suspension (886 coils on nitro sport shocks). Seems to be only be coming from driver side.

It's OSBGC not OSBGB for a reason.

Just wanted to see if anyone with the problem experienced a similar noise. Hmm.

Lol. I feel it's the same issue, but wanted to double check. Just randomly happened for the first time after two years. See if it was completely random or if my sway bar is contracting, or if it's the OSBGC issue
