No. I ran 886s for 20 months before getting an aftermarket bumper.

I have basically same question, i want to level out front and keep rear factory height but am going with full OME suspension. Only have a lightweight bull bar and lights. So maybe 881's up front. About how much lift after settling with those.

Wheeler's Offroad says [FONT=&quot]Average lift from this coil set on an extra cab v6 Tacoma is 1.75-2

[FONT=&quot]^^^Sounds about right to me. When you put them in don't poop yer britches because they're giving you closer to 2-2.25"... They WILL settle down after being broken in.

I would recommend the heavy kit (OMETAC04HK, 881s) for a couple of reasons: The heavy springs up front will "settle less" IMO. The truck will corner a lot better with a slightly stiffer spring rate (it's very noticeable at first, and pretty cool). And if you ever do decide to upgrade to a full plate bumper, haul 500lbs of crap in the bed, etc, you'll already be set up to do so. My experience with the 886s and no weight added (the heavy kit) was that the truck was level, handled well, and looked good. As soon as I threw on a plate bumper and full skid it looks like it needs 1" spacers, and that's without a winch. It still handles just as well (OME springs are the shit!), it just bugs my OCD.

    Yep.
Do you have the stock skid plate on? I have read that the flimsy piece can and will cause vibes at speed because of the wind deflection.

My slight vibe around 45 actually goes away when I remove mine. However I still have vibes at 65-70

OK, what's with you guys trying to stay at stock height? 2" won't kill you. Hell, my wife doesn't even notice the 2" I give her!

A full OME suspension includes the Dakar leafs so you will not keep rear factory height.
881s I think will give you around 2" :notsure:

Leveling kit, bedcover, grillcraft grill, cooper 265/70, black XD addict rims, short antenna, front brow tint and side windows, magna flow exhaust, Hella 500s mounted behind grille, TRD CAI.
Just installed the full ome kit on my 2011 DCSB with the front preassembled with 885's top plate spacer and trim packer on driver's side. Also removed the sway bar. And added LR UCA's

After installation took it to dunes and hit a lot of dips and the ride was amazing and took all of those hits like a champ. The problem though is going over regular bumps like a speed bump when the front suspension has to extend not compress. Sounds like the shocks are hitting really hard on both sides like the truck is hitting the bumpstops but its actually drooping not compressing.

So iv been reading through some threads and it does not look like anyone has solved this issue and some say it is the overextension of the shock which sounds about right from what is happenening and from what i can feel. Anyone think they have solved this issue yet? would gladly like some info thanks guys!

a few goodies here and there!
Any sort of negative repercussions for doing Bilstein 5100's + OME 885's in the front? I currently have Stock Coilovers + 5100 Bilstein @ 2.75" setting. Am I able to simply slip on the new OME's and be fine?

I have read that the OME 885's will give you a lift itself, So i dont want my truck to be jacked unnecessarily.

Satoshi'd grill. blacked out badges. aftermarket sound system. De-chromed and color matched. OME 885s + Dakars with 3rd leaf removed. LR UCAs. Scs stealth 6 with 285 duratracs. BAMF sliders
885s with the bilsteins set at the 0 setting will give you around 2.5" of lift. The only negative repercussions may be the bilsteins are not covered under bilsteins warranty with OME coils according to toytec
