Question for you, did you buy the 6112's with the upgraded springs or did you buy the springs separate? I'm looking to get about 3 inches of lift but don't want to preload the spring at all if possible. I would consider the 6112 with a stiffer spring at a lower setting but would be concerned about the ride. How is yours riding with it set where it's at now?

The Eibach 650# springs were bought separately. You may need to buy 700# springs if you do not want to run any preload but even at that I'm not sure you'd get 3" and the ride would most likely be crappy. My ride is great (I assume it will be fine one lower on the 3rd notch too) and I bomb up my driveway curb and can barely feel it.

I also have noticed a slight shudder when I accelerate from a stop but it goes away very quickly. I have a 3* shim on the axle and the OME carrier bearing drop. Any ideas? @OZ-T

Did you put them on before checking if you had vibes? They're not mandatory; better used after establishing you actually have vibrations. And then not adding them at the same time.

I put them in at the same time because from the reading I've done, they were a good thing to do after a lift. I only have the very brief takeoff shudder and haven't noticed any other vibrations.

Too poor to list anything interesting.
Maybe if you add all that weight in the photo on to the 885s, you get back to the stock height?

    :notsure:

But they could just mean coil rate for a stock/non-armored vehicle. I'm not too sure, but this seems pretty likely.

You need to check the working angles of your ujoints. You can download inclinometer app. I think they are supposed to be 1 degree different.

Still doesn't make sense to me when the 885s and 888s have the same rating. Maybe they are talking height. Fucks me o_O

Decided to go with Headstrong and this kit. Let me know what ya'll think and if I need to add anything.

    Coils: 886 x2
Struts: OME 90000 Firm Struts x2
Trim Packer for driver side lean
OME 60091 Nitrocharger Sport rear shocks x2
    Headstrong's Progressive 3-leaf AAL with U-bolts
OME driveshaft spacer to correct vibration (ordered from another site)

Should I get new strut mounts while i'm at it also?

Don't immediately install the carrier bearing drop, sometimes its not needed.

    Edit: Doh
I'm aware of that thus my initial question.

If you get new mounts might as well get the assembly service. It will save a bunch of time.

How would I know if I need a carrier beating drop?
I was planning to get them assembled since I don't want to deal with a coil compressor.

You don't have to use a coil compressor, you can use the weight of the truck to assemble them, but agreed that spending a few extra bucks makes the install that much quicker.

You will have driveshaft vibrations you can feel. You would need to pull the bushings out of yours. I think they are included in the assembly fee from headstrong.

The strut top. It has a bushing in it. It can wear out. I meant to separate those sentences. The vibes usually occur at low speed/take off. The best advice is to put it all together and drive it. If you feel vibes check the working angles of your ujoints. They need to be close to 1degree of difference. At zero they don't work right and over 1-1.5 they vibrate/don't work right. The ujoint directly behind Trans needs to be .5-1 I believe. There is a video floating around that has all the tech spec in it and how to measure.

Once the front of my truck is figured out I may play with the CB spacer. It's in there now but the only vibes I'm getting is a very quick shudder when I start from a stop (5-8mph). Not sure that the CB drop would cause this though.
