I know that I will really only drop a 1/2" by removing it so...

Leave it in. I took my 3rd leaf out and with my ~200lb constant load on my OME pack I got a bro lean. Granted I'm sitting on King's so my front lift numbers may be different.

you said 3rd leaf, I'm talking 2nd overload. you got the 96 pack and removed the 3rd leaf effectively making it the 95?

With a constant 500lbs you wont be over 2" difference front to back.

So you're saying I should just run the whole 96 pack and not remove the 2nd overload correct?

What would your answer be to this same question?

So are you anticipating ~2" in the front? If so I would leave the 96 pack as is. With 500 lbs of constant weight the pack is not going to give you the advertised amount of lift and their going to settle as well.
I just installed the 96's and this is what I experienced with 400 lbs or so and that's not counting loading it out for camping. I'm even considering adding a leaf in the future depending on how much more they settle after further break in. Just my honest opinion from what I'm experiencing with them on my truck.

    Correct.
I like some rake so it would need to be quite a bit before i gave it stinkbug status. Maybe 3.5-4" :notsure: :D

Ok, that is great feedback. I understand its a case by case basis, but figured someone would have real experience data. Thank you! What are you running in the front?

Right. I'm fine with a little rake, just hear conflicting lift heights. especially in threads discussing new and old packs. Your feedback is much appreciated!

So what was your hub to fender measurement on the rear?

I like some rake as well. To me the Tacomas look bro leaning when level. Hell even with an 1" of rake they look bro to me. I'd be happy with a 2" rake when loaded. This is why I'm considering the AAL.

I asked for "0's" on both packs and surprisingly they both measured the same height when installed and settled some. I ended up with 23 5/8" hub to fender (with 400 lbs) When I mounted my spare on the bumper (it sets more towards the left side) that pack is now setting about a 1/4" lower.
So, I only got 2 1/8" over stock with the 400 lbs constant on the truck. Ended up ~1.5"s of rake and that's not loaded out.

I bought my pack before there were 2 options. I would say you won't have a massive rake, if any, with that kind of constant load.

Did you experience vibrations post lift? Did you install shims or cb drop? I do plan to measure driveshaft angles before and after.

Fortunately for me No vibes as of yet have ~350 miles since install. I had 3 leaf AAL with overload in before and no vibes there either.
I can't believe it. I was totally expecting to have vibrations. I haven't taken post install angle measurements yet to learn the difference pre and post.
If/when I take a 200lb RTT off that might change things though.
