Also, I didn't pre-purchase anything to combat chasing vibes. I didn't want to start just throwing parts at it. So I figured I'd diagnose post lift. I was thinking if I needed anything it would be shims.

Ah, one of the fortunate ones! My kit came with the CB drop, fingers crossed that it will solve any vibes I may encounter. Thanks again!

If it were me, I would not install the CB drop until you see what you got. Also, if you do end up installing it make sure your drive shafts are in alignment.
    Good luck!

Hey guys. I feel like im having some driveline vibes. Ive searched the forums for information on this topic but i need some reassurance. Can anyone here tell me if im doing my math right?

    Tranny: 2°
    First shaft: 5.6°
    Second shaft: 7.5°
    Pinion: 4.5°

So my u joint working angles from front to back would be 3.6 1.9 and 2.5
Am i correct that my issues is a .6 difference in my second and third joint? Are all these angles acceptable?

@TOP TACO have you installed yet? If so, what was the outcome?

My apologies for the delay. I am pleased to report that everything installed problem and vibration free. I didn't install cb drop or axle shims. I am very happy with the performance of this suspension thus far. Thanks to all for your insight and guidance throughout the process.

Nice, great to hear! You're one of the "fortunate" ones as well.
    What are your measurements?

Well you gotta be happy with that. Quick question. Do have have that wavy look with the LP's almost like a "W"? From what I understand the Dakars run flat. Here's mine with ~650lbs. Crappy pics but hopefully you'll get what I'm talking about. Thanks, enjoy your holidays.

Ya mine have a very slight wave to them. Probably carrying around 550lbs at the moment. 20171224_140148.jpg

4 days, that's all? I read for over a year, and even after I pulled the trigger I was still second guessing everything. But as I'm sure you have read it really is hit or miss. You gonna take the blue pill or the red pill? You ready for this rabbit hole... Good luck dude!

I have that same setup. All I did was the carrier bearing? drop. Sorry I haven’t had enough coffee today and am running a blank.
I do have a slight vibe from 10-13 mph. I installed the extended collars on the Center pin for my leaf pack and I’ve been meaning to get some shims for the rear, but it’s not unbearable. That’s just my experience.

I've found that this is totally the case too. Do yourself a favor before doing your lift and take all the measurements and angle readings so you have the right information available once you do the lift and if, unfortunately, you do have vibes. Then its just a matter of figuring out which combination of pieces get it back in spec.

In general these forums are great for reading whats been posted and how other people have dealt with problems, and gathering information. Chances are no one here will guide you through and help you fix your problems unless your a part of some clique. Be prepared to have to figure it out yourself.... but driveline vibes are common. I've found a group of local toyota enthusiast and almost everyone has had some issues with vibrations. I had to mess with my rear driveline angles aswell as replace my needle bearing after lifting it. Have some extra loot put aside In case things go south and you need to buy exra parts. Dont rely on someone telling you "its not going to be a problem because i didnt have a problem"

Doing it all at once if you have the time and resources is the best way. I lifted mine and immediately got the needle bearing vibes. Didn’t have them before lifting. Been putting off the ecgs bushing replacement because I didn’t want to disassemble the driver side shock and coil assembly to do so. It hasn’t annoyed me too much.

Has anyone ran 888's on a 2nd gen, I know people are worried about too much lift but if thier 5mm longer than 887's and the 887's sag, why wouldn't the 888's sag...I'm currently running 885's with 1/2" spacers and at 3". I'm wondering how it would be a bad idea to 888's with 5100's and a 1/4" lean spacer.
I'd think this setup would net me 3"?
Ps. I have sliders and steel skid.

If you have 3", why do you want to change to get 3"?
