    Over speed bump goes clank.

5100s and OME coils go really well together. I ran that combo for a bit. Put nitrochargers in the back with the dakars.

I run the opposite now. All OME up front with dakars and 5100s in the rear.

    Mods? Yes, oh yes..
885s, dakar kit from headstrong. replace all the bushings in the leaf packs / shackles with polyurethane, use good grease and you'll be set. the adjustable ucas from spc are fantastic and are now forged. it's a no-brainer.

I have the bp51 setup with dakars, adj ucas and poly all the way around. fantastic. even with nitro chargers you won't be disappointed.

also replace your sway bar bushings too...common source of front end clunk

I did Nitro Sport front w/888s for less sag over time / Dakar Med duty rear leafs with Nitro Sport rear / So a complete OME Suspension / No need for UCAs / The ride quality was apparent right away. I gained 2" and some change with this config. I have a 1/4 " trim packer but haven't had time to install it yet, yes there is a bit of lean. Mine sits a bit higher in rear even with 500#s of stuff in it. I am still on stock rims and tires.

Why didn't you install the packer when you were assembling the shocks/coils?

So quick question. This is the setup I’ll be building soon- ARB front steel bumper with winch, Roof top tent over the bed and eventually rear bumper with swing out.

Will 886s with 90000s and heavy duty Dakar leaf pack with 60091s be a decent choice for my lift and load carrying ability? And if I lift it before I install the rest of my build will it be alright?

can someone tell me a bp51 set up compared to Icon or King? i have a local shop that says it is great set up and comes with coils on from the bp51 in rear and new leaf springs and some other stuff they do. They also do Icon and they say this set up especially for the money and ride is what they would suggest

BP51 set up doesn't really compare to King or Icons. As far as design and technology, they are kind of in a league of their own*
I'll pm you link to a video explaining some of that.

have bp51, they are awesome and as @BastekFX mentioned different than traditional bypass/reservoir because of the internal channel bypass in the strut wall.

talk to @Headstrong. i bought mine through them, really knowledgeable and great to work with.

Do you guys think this will straighten out once mounted. Double checked and theyre put together properly. Different angles looks like the spring is warped a bit.

No good, the strut isn't centered in the tophat. On the KYB tophats the lower retainer and bushing come preinstalled into the tophat, i think they are glued on and come off when you install the tophat and arent careful. Unfortunately you have to take these apart again.

That sucks cuz i already took it back to the shop, had them take it apart to make sure the retainer washer underneath was sitting properly and it came out the same the 2nd time. I hate bringing shit back and dealing with them.
Maybe ill rent a spring compressors and do it myself

Do the no-spring-compressor method. Its perfectly safe and you will be able to center everything easily. For now you can reinstall your strut as is, then with the truck sitting on wheels take off your centre nut and top bushing and retainer. Then look at where the shock shaft comes through the top hat with a flashlight and you should be able to see the KYB lower retainer lip inside the hole in the top hat around the shaft.

If the shop you went to used regular coil compressors (one on each side that get tightened independently) I bet they loosened one side too far before the loosening the other and this temporarily pulls the coil to one side and the lower bushing shifts.

Been there done that. Mine looked exactly like yours.

Its also possible that your shop assembled something wrong that your cant see, with the KYB top hats you dont need the lower bushings that came with the strut.

Black this black that , 315-75r16 pro-comp A/T's , 285-75-r-16 treadwright gaurd dogs full OME lift with Dakar leaf spring pack, boss airbags, 4.88 nitro gears, dakota digital speedometer calibrator, tjm air locker, arb onboard air, spider tracks 1.25" wheel spacer, sport headlights, brute force fab hybrid front bumper, 6000k 4" led fog lights, 24" double row led reverse light, storm trooper shift knob, rebadged badg-less black mesh grill, Kenwood double din stereo, 400w Rockford 12” sub . Anytime fog lights. Oh yeah almost forgot the 2016 FourWheel camper fleet model for extra traction and a place to crash if you do get stuck or broke down. 2x160watt solar, mppt charge controller by blue sky energy. 3 deep cycle batteries 20gallons water, 6gal hot water, 3.5cf 2way fridge/freezer, 6gallon propane... just getting warmed up.
I am currently running OME nitrochargers and Dakars in the back with Boss air bags and OME 886 packs in the front. I have had this setup for 5years now and it has done its job well. I currently have a 1500lb camper on the truck full time and run 315/75/r16's I have a blown front strut and rear shock, so replacements are needed. The front has always felt a bit over-sprung even with a aftermarket bumper. The rear needs help controlling the extra full time weight without adding extra lift and preferably adding some down travel. Any suggestions for the next setup would be appreciated. Thanks!
