Not sure if anyone is having issues with 886 coils sagging? I have a set on my 2017 DCSB with 5100s and seem to have lost height. I’m at 22” up front and 23” in back with an icon AAL (overload left in). I feel like I didn’t get nearly as much lift as others seem to get? Only armor is bolt on sliders. I’m planning on a front bumper (hence the 886s) but I’m worried they won’t be able to support it now.
    Can anyone help?

the suspension will get you the lift, but it may be too stiff for your preferences.

So, I’ve got 884x’s with a 1/2” spacers using the factory SR5 shocks (bought the truck like that). Also with an unknown single AAL in the rear.

The ride is pretty stiff and I was planning on replacing everything with a new OME kit (HD Dakar’s and 887 or 886s).

However , I have some debt to payoff and it may be a while before I can afford to do it all. I have a lead on a good deal for some lightly used 885/nitro chargers and have been researching all day. My truck current has about 1/4” of rake, so... I certainly don’t want to add any lift to the front. If I lose a little that’d be fine with me, so long as it’s nothing crazy.

The 885s should give me 2.5” on a DCLB w/ some BAMF skids under there.

The 884s w/ spacer in theory should be giving me 3” of lift. But my hub to fender measurements are 22.5” so I’m thinking the 884s sagged on the previous owner. (Most of my research has led me to believe my item hub to fender was 20”)

I guess I don’t have any particular questions other than, what are your guys’ thoughts?

need: nope... however, consider the ucas (good value/benefit) and be ready for a carrier bearing drop if you get shudder during acceleration.

I’m trying to read through this thread and I’ve searched the forums and was hoping I could cut to it without to much grief.
I have a 2nd Gen DCSB TRDSport 2WD. I put on the TRD SEMA wheels with 265/70-17s from a new 4Runner. I am looking for about 2” of lift. Keeping my stock UCAs. I like the OME lifts but unsure of which springs to get. 884s or 885s. On here I’ve read the 884s for 2” and 885s for 2.5”. ARBs guides lists 885s at 2” but thats with a 4x4. They also list the spring rates and heights. 884s at 390mm and 885s at 395mm. How do I get .5” out of 5mm?
Or just tell which one I should get without replacing my UCAs.
Additionally I’m getting the medium duty Dakar leak packs because I have a camper shell and co stantly carry lots of tools in the back of the truck. Thanks in advance.

I had 884s for a bit and they gave me 1.75" with some skids up front. You should get ~2" being a 2wd.

I'm running 887's with an aluminum bumper and winch right now. The front sits pretty low, should I get 886's or maybe just get a 1/2" spacer for the driver and 1/4" for the passenger? I have about 60k on the complete OME kit, so I might replace everything soon (shocks, coils, and leaf springs).

Just did a similar lift.. Get SPC UCAs! You'll have better alignment specs and your truck will handle better. Re: shocks.. I started with 887/5100 and the ride was terrible. Switched to OME 90021 and now it's awesome.

Perfect! What pack in the rear? Medium or heavy? Did you do the sport shocks?

886 with nitro sports, JBA, 285/75/16, Dakar HD EL096R, no sway bar rides great with out a bumper in the near future. Ride is great not over sprung.

I was worried about it being too stiff but rides great. Or at least better than before. No more bottoming out over dips in the road. However, what are the thoughts on the clearance here between the tires and UCA’s?

its close on mine too, stock OR TRD 16" wheels, 265/75/16 with an OME BP-51 suspension and the SPC UCAs.

as long as it's not constantly rubbing, remember the tire wall does not move inward on compression with IFS and the uca moves with it.

    found some diagrams:

forgot to mention, if you go wider on your tires, will need greater negative offset wheels or use spacers (hub centric only and not an ideal solution)
