Thanks. Ya I just went one step bigger. Stocks are 265/70 and I went 265/75. I do a lot of driving so I didn’t care to go big.

I’ve decided to let it ride for now. Not doing any harm or rubbing. Thanks TW! On another note, feels like I’ve got some vibrations to sort out. Pretty sure it’s in drive line. But that’s another thead....
More pics to come because it really is all about the pictures!

For those running 886's, did you put a 1/4 spacer on the driver side?

I went with the 887 coils and got 2.5" up front. I think the 885 coils wouldn't lift it that much but they have a chart where you can confirm that.

    Question:
I have that TRD Pro kit that was being sold by Toyota dealers for a closeout price a while ago. The front shocks are 6112's from what I understand. The springs are Eibach rated at 600 pounds I believe. I would like to install a front metal bumper with winch. I believe, from what I've read that, the springs will not be strong enough to support the desired add on's.

Would the OME 886 springs with those Bilstein 6112 shocks work for this plan?

I also have the 1/4 spacer from Headstrong for that combination.

No. Those are different size. You'll have to look up Eibach coils for those shocks (it's been done before with 700 lb coils , but I can't find proper link)

Anyone out there add top plate spacers to their 887s?

I put my lift on last weekend, got 2" out of my 887s, looking to bump that up a little until i get a bumper\winch and move over to 886s

Thinking about the 1/4" spacers from headstrong since i wont need to mess with taking the coils out to put in longer studs. Should get me up to 2.5" and 22.5" hub to fender.

Most recent update to the rig.

    20190416_134611.jpg

OME setup rolling strong for almost a year now. Dakar packs have become a little less noisy, and everything has settled nice and level, front to back.

    A recap for the curious:
    2003 PreRunner DC
881 coil and Dakar leaf springs
    Nitrochargers at all corners
SPC UCAs still at factory settings.

Just completed my LCA bushings using Whiteline polys and replaced all of my steering linkage, prior to new shoes. So happy with the results.

Unknown, bought the truck with 884x + 1/2" spacers (on the stock sr5 struts). Was at 22.5 before swapping out for nitros + 887s, now im at ~22 maybe a cunthair over. (Imo there is a margin of error when using a tape measure approximating center of hubs and angle of tape, ect). Seems like most guys are around 19.75-20.25 stock. Also lotta guys saying they got 3" of lift with 887s... Yet wheelers/headstrong state you will see 2-2.25 with 887s so... I was kinda unsure what would happen until i actually put them on.

Edit: i do have BAMF skids and sliders, so there is a little extra weight up there, but not a full plate bumper/winch setup (yet). Was a little apprehensive putting 886s on there since i wont be able to afford a bumper/winch for a long time lol

Got it. I think 2nd gens stock are generally around 20.5” stock up front.
I wouldn’t worry much about the 886s I am running them on my third gen with no added weight besides sliders and they don’t feel too stiff at all. 3rds are a couple hundred pounds heavier but still, I don’t feel like they are stiff at all

Yeah, I had read that it wasnt* too bad. But for every guy saying it’s fine, there’s another screaming it’s horrible, or that your truck will spontaneously combust, or some other bizzaro opinion, so I played it safe. Now I’m hunting for a little bump, I ordered some 1/4” spacer from headstrong this morning on an impulse buy, hoping to just slide the shock towers out, slide those spacers in, then rebolt everything and pay the alignment shop another visit lol

I still have to take it for an official alignment.
But it shouldn't be too hard, since the lift is just under 3 inches. You can get away with stock UCAs. I got LR UCAs to make it easier

    Hey guys,

I installed a full OME lift with the heavy Dakar leaf pack and Total Chaos upper control arms.

    Here's what I installed:
    • Front suspension
      • OME 886 coils (OME2886)
      • OME 90000 firm struts (OME90000)
      • OME front trim spacer 5mm (OME95PF5) on driver side
      • @HeadStrong Off-Road strut assembly (coil isolators, bushings, washers, and strut mount)
      • @TOTAL CHAOS upper control arms (96504)
      • Mixedmetalwork Cab mount chop
      • Hammered and sealed pinch welds
      • Trimmed fender liners and fender flares
      • Remolded fender liners
    • Rear suspension
      • OME 60091 nitrocharger sport rear shocks (OME60091)
      • OME dakar heavy duty leaf pack (ARBEL096R)
      • OME U-bolts (OMEU53B)
      • OME driveshaft spacer (OMEFK29)
      • @HeadStrong Off-Road leaf spring and shackle bushing kit (FBK05TAC)
    • Wheels/tires
      • 5x 17x8.5 4.3" BS -11 @SCSPerformance dark bronze F5 wheels
      • 5x 285/70R17/C BFG All-Terrain T/A KO2 tires
      • 27x M12x1.5 extended thread spline @SCSPerformance black lug nuts
Approximate measurements (probably not super precise). Note: I had decent sagging while running stock suspension for two years with a @SouthernStyleOffRoad hybrid bumper and winch in the front, @SOS CONCEPTS sliders, RCI Metalworks front skid plate, and a camper shell and bed drawers in the rear (that was eventually replaced with a @KB Voodoo mid-height bed rack with a Freespirit Recreation high country series roof top tent).
    • Measured from the center of hub to the bottom of the fender
      • Before
        • Front: Driver Side 20" / Passenger Side 20"
        • Rear: Driver Side 20.25" / Passenger Side 20"
      • After
        • Front: Driver Side 22" / Passenger Side 22"
        • Rear: Driver Side 24" / Passenger Side 24"
    • Measured from the ground to the bottom of the fender
      • Before
        • Front: Driver Side 34.25" / Passenger Side 34.5"
        • Rear: Driver Side 35" / Passenger Side 34.75"
      • After
        • Front: Driver Side 38.25" / Passenger Side 38.25"
        • Rear: Driver Side 39.75" / Passenger Side 39.25"
I have a ton of info and pictures of the lift install process in this post.

I had the 2" OME Kit installed on my 2013 DCSB this week. Big improvement in overall ride quality over stock Sport suspension. The truck feels way more planted and no more of that bottoming out feeling I had before. A few slight vibrations and the over speed bump clank (only when not going slow mind you). Truck looks great and no more rear squat from the weak stock rear springs.
885 coils up front with 90021 Nitrochargers and medium duty dakar's in back EL095R with 60091 Nitrochargers.
