Question regarding the med vs heavy packs. When loaded with say about 500lbs how much sag is there with the med packs? Overall looking to do 885s with softride and trying to decide on med or heavys. Mostly a commuter/hardware store runs but usually at least 1 weekend a month I go camping/light overlanding. 2011 DCSB 265/75/16s, no armor or mods weighing it down currently.

however much weight you plan on carrying, that's your number. how often it's empty or full doesn't matter. get the hd springs if you want to have a usable capacity.

Saw lots of talk about the Dakars rubbing on stock hangars in another thread. Has anyone received word from OME if they plan to change the design?

Definitely change the bearing as part of the lift. Mine went out within a couple of days.

I wonder how much rake I'd have with this setup with 887's + 1/4" and 1/2" spacers in the front and Deaver U402 Stage 3 leafs in the rear?

Pulling the trigger on 6112/5160 combo, JBA UCA's, and Dakar rear leaf pack. I'm just trying to decide if I need the medium or heavy duty pack. I have a 2016 4x4 AC OR, with a Snugtop rebel, sleeping platform, and camping gear in the back. Also have rock sliders. No other weight like bumpers or an RTT. I am not after more than 2" of lift. I'm thinking mediums as it's not over 600lbs constant load and I worry the HD pack would be too stiff, thoughts?

Just a friendly warning (you can search my posts to read up on the issues I had), they have to date done nothing about the issues I had, I would suggest the AllPro leaf packs. Proven to last and and they guarantee their with perform as advertised. I've since pulled apart the arb/OME leaf packs and built bastard packs for a friends truck.

Ok guys here is my question. I have a buddy that is selling me some 888s from his 16 tacoma but I have heard they will fit a second gen. Does anyone know how much lift this will yield? Back story is I bought my tacoma used with a fabtech lift 6" and I want to get rid of the spacer crap and I wanted to run the 5100s with the 5" lift and these? I know there is a thread about that and I did ask there but haven't gotten any answers so I'm just looking on some general info on what to expect as far as lift?

I just changed out 885x coils to 886x coils on nitro charger shocks and neted about 2.5 inches of lift and that's with alot of weight and I added trim packers to both shocks

I was originally planning on going with a OME 2" light kit and 150 lb sliders, but then my plan changed to adding front/rear bumpers and a winch, so I started looking at the OME heavy kit. From what I have been able to determine the 3rd gen stock coil is 721 lbs/in and the OME 886 coil is 660 lbs/in. The OME 886 is longer, albeit I have not been able to find the length of the stock coil. There doesn't appear to be a very large difference between the two coils, so I'm thinking about sticking with the stock coil and adding a Bilistein 5100 or equivalent shock; still sticking with Dakar leaf pack. I like the idea of being able to adjust the preload to my tastes. Thoughts?

    HELP! Lol

    ‘19 dcsb off road

I’m wanting between 2.5-3” of lift. Only do light off reading and not much hauling and currently no armor. I do have a hard canopy. But it can’t weight more than 300#

I was almost sold on the 5100/888s with the HS 3 AAL...BUT...then I’m seeing a lot of people complain about sag. Like an inch up front. It’s kinda turned me off of them. *i do like the price point and I understand you get what you pay for*

so I have a couple of questions:

    • Would you advise running 90021/886s to maintain the 2.5”ish lift? Is this just going to F my ride quality with no extra weight?

•I was planning on leaving the rear overload leaf in to get the extra .5” of height and maintain rake, what effect does leaving it in or removing it have on the front lift?

I appreciate all the input. The amount of research and learning on TW is mind blowing! Lol

886s are stiff. Made for weight.

Had my Dakar EL096R leafs on for a while now. Planned to have a toolbox full of tools n gear in there by now, but it hasn't happened yet, will soon though.
Problem is, I'm getting every bit of near 3" in the rear and it's pretty stiff. I'd like to chill the leafs so they aren't so harsh without weight and get my flex back. Which leaf is recommended to remove to help this?

2nd leaf from the bottom up toward the bed? Thought I also read here that removing one of the 2 overloads will also get more flex, and less capacity, though.

is this the right bushing kit? is there a kit that replaces both front and back bushings?

On a 2009 DCSB 4x4, how much rake will the 884 coils and dakar leaf pack give?
