Got you. Would 885's and 5100's start to sag with more weight i.e. bumpers, sliders etc?

Are OME front shocks classified as linear, progressive, or degressive?? I’ve heard they’re linear.

Should a 100lb bumper be paired with 882s or 883s? Trying to get as much height as I can at the same time. Could I do 882s with 3/8 spacer so I can get the 883 height while keeping 882 ride quality or is that not reasonable?? I believe I’ve seen someone saying they did that..

    Mods? Yes, oh yes..
if your springs aren't strong enough they aren't strong enough. period. get the appropriate spring rate for your weight. lift is secondary. this is important. your shocks will thank you.

Today was the day. After a new setup, RTT plus motorcycle on the tow hitch, the truck was sagging and hitting the bump stop with weight. after talking with a fellow TW member, we came to the conclusion that the OME complete suspension setup was the way to go. The install was time consuming but fairly simple. Also installed leaf spring liners. Just above 21/2 in the front and just under 3 in the rear. Very happy with the outcome and the ride!!!

Okay everyone I want your thoughts, experience, and guidance (last words ever spoken lol)

I am looking to do a OME lift with great on-road comfort since it is a daily driver.

Based on what I have read:

In the front: SPC Upper control arms, 2884 coils with the nitrocharger front struts

In the back: OME Nitrocharger shocks and Deaver leaf pack kit J66.

Hoping to run Nitto 285/70R17 on some method racing wheels..may consider the new TRD Pro Forged 16" diameters to get more tread if I air down in the sand.

No i am not putting steel bumpers, rooftop tent, rear bed macgyver 1000+ tools storage bed cover for when I need to air up tires.

I will also add the U bolt flip kit and either wheeler bump stops or a different brand depending on what I research to be the most consistent.

I am using the tires to get the lift instead of the suspension because I dont want shaft angle problems etc.... Also my springs/struts have 140K+ miles on them and i will probably get a better ride when I replace the stock stuff.

Pros? I feel this is a reliable and maintenance free lift that will cost less than 2k (not including wheels and tires) that will stay on the truck until its totaled or dead...

Doubts? Should I run the 2883, 2884, or 2885 springs? Has anyone ran the Deaver leaf pack and think its better than stock or leave the stock one on there? Factory pinion angles....the J66 might screw that up...is it worth it to have a professional do it or do the tutorials provide enough resources.

I’d probably at least go with 885 springs. Think those would put you closer to 2.5” up front.

Can’t weigh in on the Deavers, I’m running the older OME Dakars. I had a slight shudder at take off speeds, but settling and the OME driveline spcer pretty much took care of that. It’s still there, but just barely... Not enough for me to add shims back there.

As for install, me and my GF’s brother had mine done by lunchtime. But I installed mine with 1500 miles, so we didn’t have to fight any rusted bolts. We also had air tools which sped up the process. It wasn’t difficult and there are a ton of resources/videos that walk you through it all.

Thanks for the heads up. Based on what what I have been reading the lift will be minimal and shouldn't need to worry about driveline angles when you are 2" or less. I may get away with stock for now and then upgrade it later. I think there will be a big enough different once I get the new wheels on there and they provide a good amount of lift.

885's up front on nitrochargers, medium duty leafs in back. Tires are 255/80r17's. I have a rear swingout bumper coming and I'm assuming im going to need to add the leaf to make my medium leafs into heavys. Then I may end up going to BP51's up front. I dont think the 885's like the slim bumper with winch and front skid up front.

Not the greatest pic, but I'm really happy with how the 887's + 1/4" spacer turned out in the front. Aluminum bumper + winch.

Hi I was looking for everyone's thoughts on this because I don't know if my specific case has been addressed in the thread. I have a 2017 DCSB TRD OR with a shell, sliders and full aluminum skids and have been eyeing the OME kit with an AAL. I know that they are well known for Jeeps, but seeing all these threads about sagging has me unsure what OME spring to go with if OME at all.

I am looking for a mild lift (2 in tops), the truck is my DD that I use for weekend wheeling/camping trips and I don't plan on adding a bumper and/or winch anytime soon. Currently debating getting the 886, 887, or 888 coils. My question is if I get 886 coils will it ride too stiff and not flex? Should I go with the 887s because it seems from my research that the the 888s sag more frequently despite having the same spring rate as 887s.

    Thanks
