I think I might just get the 6112 again but get 5125 for the rear, rather then the 5160 piggy backs...

I have watched a few vids on the OME rears and it seems they can be a little UN-settled for offload use.

Easy to install without a spring compressor (just use the lowering of the truck and the compressor) and done...

If you regularly carry a decent amount of extra weight on your truck, consider getting rear shocks made for the previous generation Tundra. The heavier valving does a much better job controlling the truck. I moved from 5100’s made for Tacomas to 5160’s made for Tundras and was really pleased with the increase in performance, (but you don’t need to do the 5160’s to get the heavier Tundra valving). You will need to trim the lower eyes a little on each side with an angle grinder to make them fit. Just be careful not to buy a shock that is too long for your leaf pack, as the Tundra shocks are longer.

What the ride stiff? I have a decked drawer system in the back. I think the 5125 for the taco should be okay. But you have me intrigued about the 5160 for the tundra... what years tundra 5160 would I be looking at?

The ride was noticeably improved, but with armor and a camper, I have 5-600 lbs extra weight on the rear axle.

Got a link to the boot slide mod? That's my big complaint with the 886's is it seems to eat boots faster. Also it seems the oem half shafts are hard to find anymore. What aftermarkets are people putting on these days that hold up well. I have aftermarket UCA's. Also looking for the specs recommended for 886's with aftermarket uppers. Somebody had posted a set of guidelines for proper alignment that worked very well the last times I've gotten aligned but I can't find it now that I need to get things straightened out after doing some front end work.
    Thanks

Any pics of a correctly oriented coil. I get the speed bump clunk too. 886's

Unclamp the boot and slide it out until the fins don't touch and then tighten it back up.

I have alignment numbers in my old build thread for 886s and TC UCAs if that helps.

    Question regarding my '02:
I have front OME 90004 w/ 883 coils & Dakar leafs with OME 60062 in the back. I've had a clunk in the back end when going over a driveway bump at an angle for quite a while (like the rear end is shifting), but have recently developed a relatively quiet clunk/popping sound in the front at low speeds and moving the wheel (think a parking lot). These parts were installed roughly 50k miles ago back in 2015 and I'm under the impression that all the bushings are simply worn out. Does this sound like a likely culprit or should I be looking at new shocks & coilovers at this point. I'll already be taking the steering rack out to do bushings for it and the sway bar so I figure I might as well do it all at the same time.

    Thanks.
So I use to be fluent in the forum here years ago but again I came up empty handed when I went through your page to find that old build thread. Got a link? Sorry I’m worse at computers than I am at wrenching.
Thanks for the help and the boot slide tip. I hadn’t heard that one.
