I have some TSB leafs that I'm putting up for sale, where are you located and are you still looking for a solution?

Got my springs on FINALLY! ARB lost the PO (supposedly) and had to wait like another 3 weeks. (Major BS, but oh well)

Installation was a breeze even by myself it took about 2-1/2 hrs. ( that includes having to cut off one of my u-bolts and going to the parts store for new one)

Rides great and I think I actually got about 3/4"-1" more lift in the rear over the blocks.

Highly recommend. Got them from Tarheel 4x4 for about 460ish including the new bushing kit.

    Thanks for all the advise.

Didn't take the time to read the whole thread... I LOVE THE OME REAR LEAFS!
Hauling ~1500lbs. even with the factory TSB leaf was a joke. I rode on the bump stops like mad. With the OME rear leaf packs I can put ~1500lbs. in the bed AND have my family of 4 inside and the truck sits level with a 2.5" lift on the front. Also, I have 2-3" of clearance before I hit the bump stops.

    AWESOME SUSPENSION!!!

King 2.5 oem replacements with adjusters. Total chaos UCAs, toytec AAL. Method NVs.
Which leaf did you pull out? I have total chaos ucas and King 2.5s on all corners and I got the toytec AALs and absolutely hate them. I need to buy the dakars but I don't want to crank my front all the way in order to level it with the dakars in rear

While I too have the Dakars and am pleased with them I'm surprised nobody has suggested airbags yet. If OP doesn't need a lift and just wants more carrying capacity a set of the Firestone airbags will do the job nicely.

Dakars are great. I can't speak to having an empty bed because mine always has weight in it. On and off road they are fantastic.

Foglights are for fog, not oncoming traffic!
    Not true.
I have a long history of posts where I tried to bandaid Toyota's suspension failure with Ride-Rite airbags and they are overmatched when paired with Toyota factory springs.
The real solution is to bail on Toyota and use an aftermarket that really cares about doing it right.
For me that was OME Dakar minus third leaf and 5100's in rear, OME 883 springs and 5100s with NO PRELOAD in front. If you preload your front shocks for the sake of looks, you're reducing your suspension function.

Just to refresh a zombie... the leaf to pull out is the third leaf from the top. Its the only one you CAN pull out without compromising the pack. The main leaf, obviously can't come out, the second one down is the "military wrap" leaf, the 4th and 5th are progressively shorter, so can't be removed without leaving a "gap".

Lots of people have removed the upper overload instead of / or as well as the 3rd for another option

That's certainly a possible move, but that shouldn't impact the unladen ride height by any more than the thickness of that leaf.

OME Dakar CS047R are indeed worth every penny. I have been running them with my 5100's set at "0" and 885's up front and love the ride on and off road also when pulling my trailer. No sagging and a smooth ride.. I recommend them.

Get them and use your Tacoma !

So I finally saved enough to upgrade to OME. I'm getting the 885 and Dakars with OME shocks or 5100.

I hate to ask this because I am sure the answer is here somewhere I just couldn't find it. I noticed there is a CS047R and also a EL095R. What is the main difference on this ones? I just want the best Dakar to match the extra300pounds I have for the rtt and camping gear.

That load was totally green wood and on an uphill slant made it even look more saggy, she did pretty good out on the freeway at 60mph... here's what it looks like without the load:
