Is it making noise in the front or rear? Dakars are notorious for squeaking. My dakars make all kinds of noise depending on how my truck is loaded. But the front end doesn't make any noise. Well, the front end of my truck makes a hell of a lot of noise, but it's not OME related lol.

Noise from the front and rear. Lots of clunking and popping.

Hmmm. Something isn't right there. Was it making noise before the suspension install?

Hmmm, odd. I know you said you checked torque, but it sounds like something is loose. Did you re-use your ubolts or use new ones? And which shackles? I know if you over tighten your shackle bolts and front eye bolt on the leaf springs, it squeaks like crazy.

As for the front...did you install the coil on the strut or was it done by a shop?

I tried taking them to a shop and they said they couldn't get the strut nut to tighten down on the top of the assembly. I got mad and came home to fine out on of the washers holes was not big enough not allowing it to slide over the strut post. I wallowed it out and it fit fine and I assembled them myself and they tighten up fine. I measure the thread count with everything stacked up without the coils and it match the distance when I had the coil in there so I know the nut is bottomed out. Could the tie rod ends be making a clunk? It only seems to make noise when i turn to the left or right caring a little speed. It is more prone ti clunk on the right side though.

Friend and I finally installed the 881s, with trim packer, Deaver AAL and nitro charge sport rear shocks last night! Not the greatest pics. (More to come) Shackles next to get the rear leveled. But can definitely notice the difference from a stock Tacoma. Way better ride than the spacers and blocks. Very pleased! 20170128_085808.jpg20170128_085829.jpg

Hey, I'm going to be going to a OME lift soon. What size tires is everyone running with their lifts?

Could be tie rods. Could be your CV joints making noise as well. Could be your steering rack, mine is super loud and needs to be replaced. But you would have noticed most of those pre-lift as well. Although you're changing the geometry of everything after lifting, so it could just be magnifying whatever problems were there before.

That's about all I can think of and I'm not an expert by any means. Hopefully others chime in here.

I have the OME with Deaver J-59's on the rear. No noise whatsoever from anywhere until, believe it or not I fluid filmed the underside right before winter. I sprayed fluid film on the springs because they started rusting as soon as I put them on and I figured I figured "What could it hurt?" Fluid Film is also a lubricant. In any case, after I sprayed the springs with Fluid Film they started squeaking like crazy. A really loud squeaking. Why? I have no idea. What's even weirder is they stopped squeaking after a few good rainstorms. Weird. Really weird.

I'll try to find out about the rims - don't know if I still have paperwork on those. The tires are BF Goodrich AT KO2's. 31's. This is what they look when you air them down to 15psi and then get stuck and winch sideways! Since that trip I now always carry my hi-lift and starter fluid to reset the bead! And yes, that is a bottle of whiskey sitting in the snow about 3 feet in front of the bumper, lolIMG_2485.jpg

I had a problem also with it not tightning up all the way. If i jacked truck up by the frame and let the suspension hang. I could turn and wiggle the black dust cover. Truck was noisy as hell up front. I added another large flat washer on top of the old one. Then it would tighten up enough.

I had that exact problem. I think I fixed the movement in the dust cover but there is still noise. I am going to try my tie rods and see if that eliminates the issue.

I know it isn't FL style, but I like the tall skinnies. With a suspension lift I'd run the 255/85R16. I think they look killer on these smaller trucks.
I had a Nissan Hardbody reg cab years ago that I lifted and ran BFG A/T in 33x9.50x15. Looked and drove awesome. If I had 15 inch wheels I'd look into going that route.
