Not those wheels. The 16" OEM 4Runner aluminum alloy wheels are similar in style to the 15" OEM Chou Seiki aluminum alloy wheels that are on my truck in the pictures. I also bought a spare 16" steel wheel as well when I switch over to the 16" wheels. Your truck looks bad ass in that picture!

Ahhh ok. When anyone mentions 16" 4Runner wheels I think of these. Must be that 4.6 backspace thing ;)

    Thx!

I've got them stored away and they need to be cleaned/polished/powder coated in black. The previous owner had painted it with black Plasti-Dip, looks terrible, and it's peeling away now.

OME GS12 shackles were included with the kit.
GS12 shackles provide 0" of additional lift.
GS22 shackles provide 1/2" of additional lift.

I had an OME kit on my 2001 Tacoma and I put one on my new-to-me 2003 about a year ago. The ride quality is excellent -- better than the OME on my Gen 2.

With a bullbar/no winch on front and either an ARE shell or Mountain Top aluminum tonneau on the back, I went with the OMETACO4HKS "heavy" kit. I run BFG AT KO 235/85-16 on stock wheels on both Gen 1 and Gen 2 trucks. I like that size.

I put an OME kit on my 2.7L double cab with no armor a few years ago. I'm running all OME shocks (stiff in the rear) with a Dakar leaf pack and 881 coils. I dont have upper control arms at the moment as the alignment shop was able to get my numbers into spec without them. On the street, my truck still rides pretty rough though. Is this normal or is it due to not having UCA's?

I'm running a similar setup, 881s in the front and Dakars in the rear, factory UCAs. I think you're likely just feeling the firmness of the Dakar leaf springs.

It feels more stiff in the front than anything.

Yeah. I wish I had a little bit of a smoother ride but I'm not sure if if it's the coils or the shocks. I may get UCA's soon just because my upper arms are a little angled more than I would like.

Have you replaced anything else? Steering rack bushings, outer/inner ties, lower ball joints, stabilizer bar bushings and links, front bumpstops? All of these can contribute to front end funk... I imagine though if any of these components were really worn, the tech wouldn't have been able to get you within alignment spec.

    Still worth checking.

I have JBA control arms, that didnt fix ride quality. Ill probably swap to 881s soon and see what that does, but my end goal is ADS coilovers. Some plush bois

    Stock for now.
I'm seeing a few sites tell me not to choose certain springs if I have the 4 cylinder because of the lack of weight up front. Anyone with first hand experience. I plan on a tube bumper and winch in the future.

I used the v6 springs with my 2.7 but I have a plate bumper and a winch. Still used the second setting on the 5100s. IIRC the bumper and winch were a little over 200#.
