OME complete kit. 881 coils. Dakar Leafs. JBA UCA. 265/75-16 Goodyear Ultraterrain.
looking good. I believe the leafs on the 98-04 settle better than 95-97. Throw some sandbags back there.

Give it some time. After a few weeks, it will settle about 1/2inch or more.

Gotcha. Planning on hitting some trails soon to hopefully help accelerate the process.

    All stock!
Ordered my OME suspension kit from Wheelers on Aug. 22. I just got notification that it shipped out today! Parts will be here on the 22nd or so. Something about shortage of parts from ARB/OME.

I just called 4wparts again today to check on my order. Now the estimated ship date is late November, early December.... they said the aal was on back order without any expected eta. They didn’t tell me if they had any of my parts in yet either, just that all of it would arrive to them before they ship to me. Idk, I’m glad my truck isn’t broken down, and still drivable. I’m not really in a hurry, but I’d still like to get something, eventually..

Nice rig! I think I've seen your truck around here. I'm in the College Glen area.

Like tacotruck7 said, if you can cancel do it! Order from Headstrong. I think Wheelers has restocked for 1st gen Tacos, if you’re looking for OME suspension!

I’ll check with wheelers, but the last I heard they were having trouble getting the add a leaf’s as well. Makes me think it’s a OME issue, not the distributor. Doesn’t hurt to ask though.

Toytec is another option, little more than headstrong, but I couldn’t wait.
    Needed my suspension installed stat.

Waiting for TOYTEC to release a Black Friday code, then I’m getting the entire OME suspension kit from them...

I would say Yes. You might need to bash the pinch weld in.

I'm on 255/75R17 FJ Cruiser (6 spoke style) and there is plenty of clearance... when these tires wear out I am switching 255/80s. I am running a wheel spacer more for looks; the newer wheels have more backspacing than the older ones.

Just finished installing my OME setup on my stock 2004 DBL 4WD TRD OR with a camper shell. I ordered the full kit from Wheelers with 2881s preloaded, and Dakkars with Add A Leaf for the back. Right now I have 265/75/16 KO2s.

Thought some folks might like measurements... measuring from the floor to the bottom of the fender flare:
    • Front (5 days after)
      • Driver
        • Before: 35"
        • After: 37 1/4"
      • Passenger
        • Before: 35 1/4"
        • After: 37 3/8"
    • Back (1 days after)
      • Driver
        • Before: 35 5/8"
        • After: 40"
      • Passenger
        • Before: 35 1/8"
        • After: 39 3/4"

    TJbefore.jpg
    TJafter.jpg

A few notes from the install (these are probably noted somewhere else too):
    • Disconnecting the front sway bar made the front strut installation easier.
    • An angle grinder with a cutting wheel was used to remove the front leaf spring bolt on both sides. The 19mm Kobalt impact socket I used shattered trying to break one loose.
    • I ordered M14x2.0 100mm 10.9 hardness bolts from boltdepot.com to replace the bolts that were cut.
    • The bushings for the shackles come with a set of four chassis bushings in a bag and four leaf eye bushings in another bag. Don't do like I did and think that you have a set for the left in one bag and another bag with the right side bushings... they are different lengths!

That lift looks real good, but I thought the OME kit would level the truck? Toytec is selling the kit

@SellyKlater can I get your input? If I want to be level, maybe I should just opt for an add a leaf instead of the Dakar springs?

Not sure I can help much, I included the AAL with my Dakar's because of the camper shell and I did not want the truck to sag when I load a bunch of gear. It might be overkill. The front was about 3.5 " when I first did the coils but has dropped to about 2.25" in 5 days. I am hoping the rear leafs (just completed last night) drop an inch or so... I would be fine with about a 1" rake.

My stock springs were frowning pretty badly at 160K. I thought it was probably just best to replace the rear springs.

Just went wheelin for the first time since the install. I think it handled VERY well on the trail. Felt pretty comfortable going across deep ruts n stuff. No hardcore flexing or anything but nonetheless happy with the outcome.

Ran up Charouleau Gap this weekend here in Tucson and easily made it further than I could on my stock suspension. I'm also sure removing my sway bar helped a lot but the extra rear travel and height really helped. I was able to get past the obstacle I was previously stuck on in one try with minimal effort.

What I'm understanding is the height of the stock leafs is different than the height of the Dakars, which is different than the height of the Dakars with an AAL?
