Looking good. I leave and get home when it's dark so this is as good as it gets - vibe I think is front diff problem but didn't get a chance to fully diagnose before heading out. Seemed like it went away with 4wd on... Will at least entertain carrier bearing shims, since it is free and easy to try. Still have not taken above 55.

I don't have a real clear picture but I do have a diff drop, I just don't have it listed.

I don't have one on mine and I should since I have 3&1/4 of lift up front the angles aren't that bad I didn't think i would ever need it
But I'm thinking about doing it now

Thanks. Reason for asking is I'm ordering 883 springs and was gonna get diff drop at same time. Gonna do boot slide mod just don't want to terrible angles on cv axles

Thanks for info m3. Truck is daily driver and really don't want any problems out off it. That's why I was concerned about angles

Cv angle with diff drop. I think it helps. Also a better pic of the truck, thank goodness for the time change

Okay so I have a '01 v6 with bumper and winch. Looking to get a 2" lift for the front. What combination coil and shock will give me this? I was going to do a 1.5" shackle for the rear and call it good with new shocks.

882 or 883 coils on OME nitro chargers with trim packer for taco lean on driver side. Are you still running a stock leaf pack? If so, shackles may not work for you. I would plan to purchase a new set of leafs or have yours revived and add a aal.

Would anyone mind posting a pick of the Dakars with the AAL? I'm attempting to figure out if I have one or not.

Sorry it took so long to get back m3. Went with 882s. Don't plan on having a bumper or winch. Also got a diff drop. Figured while I was at it better go ahead and do it. I drive 60 miles a day to work now don't want any issues. Thanks for your input. springs should be here any day. I'll try to post pics once I get them installed

So... If you plan on actually carrying any kind of weight consistently, I would highly suggest the aal. Otherwise the *** end will drive you nuts. In my case, I really don't want to pull the leaf off again so I'm gonna bandaid it with longer shackles for now. Hope it helps make your decision easier.

Btw ^ pretty sure Adam relocated his shocks to allow more travel. Please correct me if wrong.

EDIT: I searched, and it is indeed for allowing more travel. Looks like a bear of a job for a layman like me.

I've found with the stock location the Dakar leaf packs scrape the OME shocks when getting into full flex. I'm researching re-doing the rear suspension with the AAL and some Icons and might include a relocation.

I've been wondering if mine came with the AAL. I've never had any issues with the rear-end sagging when carrying a load. Might explain why I had to put on the top plate spacers to level out the front end.
