First off let me say this thread has more info on the OME stuff than I have found in 3+ hours of searching it is awesome, second I apologize for the ridiculous list of quotes and questions that follow, I was planning on going with the dakars and 5100s + stock coils set at 2.5 and wheelers told me the rear would sit too high, thus my questions

you state full OME with 881's up front so is that the dakars with nitro rear shocks? Looks nice and level with the canopy on

Are you running the 5100s with stock springs? if so what perch height and how does the truck sit?

The 881s state they give 1.75-2" lift is this about what you saw? I figure my stock springs set at 2.5 with 5100s will yield closer to 2" of lift. Your truck looks perfect with the back just slightly higher which would be great for me as I rock a canopy in the winter.

How much lift did you see with the 882s? They don't list a lift height but being about .75 taller than the 881s I would guess around 2.5-2.75? It looks like your back is still a little higher than the front even with the 882s is that right?

I appreciate any responses guys, wheelers recommended their 1.5" leaf packs which I think would sit low, especially with the canopy but I want to make sure the dakars wont sit ass high over the billies @ 2.5 +stock coils

Question for those who live in rust belt states: How do OME's hold up to corrosion/rust/general nastiness?

Reason I ask is that I bought my truck with Camburg coilovers and after one winter they already have a nice layer of rust building up, I'd rather go with something like nitrochargers/881's instead of worrying about cleaning the camburgs all the time...

So is the grass really greener?

That is exactly one of the reasons I went with OME instead of any of the coilover options. Winters are pretty bad here in Utah too with salted roads. The CO's just get hammered in the winters. OME does MUCH better. My front suspension doesn't look any different than when i first put it on even after a heavy winter season last year

Good point Boxrocket on the salt issues!

Well I have had my OME suspension on since friday.....love it!

Way more control...took her out and flexed a bit here and there carrying a 500lb load.....very comfotable ride when hitting some bumps hard!

Unloaded I went up 2 inches in the front and 4 inches(bit high) in the rear. Looks way better with the load on....these gains were compared to the worn out stock suspension with 120,000 miles.

881's and daker pacs with the AAL....keep in mind this is with a Reg.Cab

Very happy with this OME set-up..thanks to all TW members who answered my Newbie?

    Post more pics soon.

Awesome, I was very disappointed to see how quickly the CO's rusted. Great ride but not worth the hassle of worrying about em. Ill pick up some OME's soon!

    Check out my build
Im on billys at the first notch and 881, my 285s rub on the frame at full lock. I ground down the pinch weld so it doesnt contact there. Different rims, so I dont know about offsets.
My 881s are on billys at the first notch. Dont know how much lift I got because I never measured before. Now after about 10000 miles the rear (on Dakars) is about .5"~ higher. That tool box is damn near full and heavy as hell too. Heavier than a topper I'd say.

6" fabtech, 8000lb Warn W/ARB bumper, command start, 33 pro comps on 15s, Apline stereo.
I've got a 97 extended with a winch bumper combo and a 6" DB lift (yaya I know DBs suck). The front springs are stock springs, and have so much sag that I have maybe an inch of travel in the front.
I already have a set of 882's but my question is. Are these longer stiffer spring going to put too much stress on my fabtech struts? I cant afford to put them on and end up braking one. I would love to find another brand of strut or coilover that would fit this configuration but so far no luck.

10 pages of posts and I only saw one reg cab using the full ome setup. Anyone else running this with a reg cab. I have to replace my leafs on my 2000 and was worried that the Dakar pack would be way to high with 881s. Any pics with this setup unloaded.

I ran a full OME set up with 881's on my old truck and i liked it. It was pretty stiff for a couple months untill it broke in. (Offroading helps that). I was trying to find pictures of it but i only have pic from the last trip  I had it on 31's when i found out toyota was taking back for the frame i borrowed 33's and went offroading with it:D I had no problems for the 5 or 6 months i had it on the truck before it got bought back.
