Idk.. my dakars haven't settled yet.

I also have no idea how I'll be able to drill up into the frame without taking off the leaf packs and dropping the axle...

Maybe a short little impact drill with the springs at full droop?

These ones would be harder to mount than the previous ones we were talking about.

What did your shocks look like when you did this?? Way over extended? Bottomed out? Be careful when doing that, dont wanna mess up the shocks. Granted they are the old ones though still right?

Are thise your new springs? Was the install pain free, no seized fasteners?

My shocks are really crappy auto Zone stuff. Fully extended and compressed. I'll be honest with ya, I didn't install them, my uncles mechanics did. They said it was really a pain in the ass, I think if we would sprayed something on the bolts to make break loose easier it would been 100x easier.

Stuff and things that make it better.
I measured, go with the 4 1/2" bumps.

Any chance I'll be seeing you at RT this year?

I'm planning on going to RT as of now but I just put in for a few river permits for around the same time.
If all works out I'll be able to do both.

Pardon my ignorance but it looks like I have too many bushings for my dakars. What are the extras for?

Also, what I thought was my bpv relocating bracket is actually an exhaust bracket which I don't need. Guess I'll have to fab something up.

When I put these on I plan to coat the leaf spring hanger bolts heavy with anti seize. Would anti seize work better than grease for coating the bushing for the spring eye as far as longevity of lubrication!

Each packet contains the bushing you need for one leaf pack. The two smaller bushings go in the rear eye of the leaf pack. The two large bushings go in the top eye of the shackle (through the frame.)

The exhaust hanger relocate is F-something. The BPV is needed and both cheap enough to be worth buying and simple enough to be fabbed easily by most persons.

You can put a lite coating of synthetic grease on the bolts to help get them through the bushings. Keep in mind that the bushings you have are for non-greaseable shackles. They are designed to work without grease.

Edit: Exhaust Hanger relocation bracket is FK21

Thanks wheel. I was planning on reusing my stock shackles so I guess I'll have to pull them off the frame now to get the new bushings in. Might as well order new leaf bolts while I'm at it

Good luck getting the stock shackles off without cutting. After you cut, good luck finding the replacement bolts you need for less than half the cost of a new greaseable shackle kit. Ask me how I know:bananadead:
