I've got OME nitrochargers all around, 881's, and dakar's that I'll hopefully be installing today with my 265/75/16 duratracs so I'll let ya know hopefully! but there's quite a few examples of people running 265/75's with a 2-3 inch lift and it doesn't look bad.

    My dilemma too.

I run similar sized tires (31x10.5 15s) and even with a sagging stock suspension there is a lot of wheel gap.

Even if I "lift" it back to stock I'm a little worried about it looking like I have rollerskate wheels on my truck.

And I have no interest of getting bigger tires because I like my 23 mpg.

(although the other thread, (2" lift with 32x11.5) has perfect looking stances IMO)

Thinking of going with the ome nitrocharger sport kit with 881s top out spacer and 5 leaf pack. On my 01 dc prerunner with a shell on it. How much lift do you think I will end up with after it settles and what size tires could I fit without any hammering

Some lift, some armor, some scratches..
I've got that exact setup and am quite pleased with the ride, lift, and look but even with 1" shackles my ass is still sagging a little, prob going to get an aal soon. Gave me about 3" in font and 2.25 in back. My 265/75/16 rub a tiny bit on the frame both sides at full lock

So I got full OME setup, 883s and Dakars. After about 1,000 miles, I have not particularly enjoyed the stiff ride. The 883s have settled some. My 99 Tacoma v6 extended cab has 235,000 miles and had the original suspension and shocks on it. I have a Shrockworks on front and a ARE bed cap on back. I thought the ride would improve after replacing out the dead suspension.

The kicker....I looked under my rig today, and it appears that both CVs have blown out. I am thinking the 883 are too much. Thoughts?

Not sure what I would do about the ride...I never thought the ride was too stiff when I had OME in the front. I have Kings now though which are superior.

As for the blown CV, you need to put a dif drop kit in if you haven't already.

I have OME 883's and Dakar leafs, I am still runnin 31x10.5 tires. I don't think it looks that goofy. When these tires wear out, I am going to go with 32's. I don't want to deal with rubbing of 33's. Here is a pick the day after I finished the install. Since this picture I have also installed skid row skid plates and installed a 10,000 lb Warn winch. So the front is settled a little bit.

OME 881's, Nitrocharger sports all the way around, and dakar's... Have the trim packer but it's not installed.

I'd just like to say thanks to this thread, this forum, and especially box rocket for steering me in the ome direction. It's like an all new truck and it handled the 2400 miles like a god damn champ! Especially considering some of highway 37 north through canada and the yukon were beyond terrible.

    Before and after shot :

No sweat man! Glad to have helped and that you're happy with the results. Your truck is looking SWEET! You've got me seriously thinking about a soft top even though I have a hardtop already. It just looks really good on your truck. Nice work.

I'd like to try some 255/85's for my next tires but the options are slim and I don't know if I want a mt as half my driving is in the snow.

Ty sir! It's a work in progress for sure but I'm loving the way it's going... I think a soft topper would probably look great on your truck, and might be a lot easier than hoisting up your hard top. Assuming you could mount both, you could just take the windows off and fold it up forward and have full access of your bed/bed rack. That's actually what my end goal is as I absolutely love your bed rack and hope to eventually buy or build one that works with the soft topper.

Hey guys. I'm going to order some 881s for the front of my truck as my stockers have well passed their expiry date.

Can you install the 881s with the stock top plate/shock mount or do you need the OME ones? I have currently got 5100s and stock coil setup and want to do a straight coil swap to 881s.. do i need any extra bits and pieces?
