Finally got a chance to test out the OME suspension. Eventually the road washed out. Mind you, I was by myself 600 miles from home so I didn't push it (7 mile venture to hilltop) so far, I'm satisfied!

IMG_1426.jpg Is there a way to tell which springs I have, I bought my truck last month and all I know is it has a 3" OME lift. I didn't know enough at the time to ask, i had not discovered TW before i purchased the truck.

Without removing them, I don't believe so. Have you checked that the paper sticker isn't still attached. My 881s and 882s both had a paper sticker with "288X" attached. (X=last number of coil model number)

    Otherwise, ask previous owner :notsure:

You could count the number of coil wraps. 882 has more than 881. You'd need to look up how many each has

881 on the left, 882 on the right if you want to count the coils.

Cool, good deal. I'll keep a eye on it. Surely with the diff drop it won't be too bad. Here within a couple months I plan on a tube bumper so it will help.

I had 881s with no added weight. Drove like a dream. Now with an ARB and Warn winch (synthetic rope) lights, sliders, RTT, toolbox etc.........the 882s currently on the truck ride pretty damn awesome. I wouldn't go any heavier spring rate.

Everyone on here says 883 are great with added weight, and from personal experience, 882s are as well. But if you don't plan on a winch, 881s.

In regards to the aal, it will make it ride stiff in the rear. Unless you have permanent added weight (200-300lbs).

    Edit: still on original CVs:fingerscrossed:

I just turned 123k on the clock. Original cvs. Let's hope I don't have any issues with them.

Been reading through all these great posts. I just purchased the OME Kit (ARBOMETAC04HKS) and an ARB bumper form 4Wheel Parts as they had a deal here in NM for 20% off, no sales tax, free shipping. The kit currently comes with the 881 coils but I plan to change to the 883 coils. I wanted to get some input from you guys on what I should expect on the stance. My vehicle is a 2004 Tacoma Pre-Runner, double cab, 2 wheel drive, 3.4/V6 motor. Thanks

I have the OME all around with 883's and dakar leaf set. I gained a bit over 2.5 and i sit just about level. I ordered 10mm spacers for the front but never installed. Running 285/75/16 with no rubbing issues, i do have 1.25 wheel spacers

Didnt do either. Read somewhere that the extended lines aren't necessary with the OME kits
