No I went with el cheapo single leaf only because this truck has pretty hi mileage and sorta building it with that in mind. In retrospect I should've gone with the progressive pack.

On my 02 x cab with hidden smittybilt behind OEM front cover I have the 880s and pretty pleased with the set up and ride. Having issues with getting the leaf packs mounted up now on the rear.

I can get the front bolted up and the hanger bolts in but the middle pin is off from dropping into hole in the plate. Haven’t been able to work on it in a few days will try some more in a day or 2

So you’re having trouble lining up the axle with where it should be in relation to the leaf spring?

If so, use a ratchet strap to winch it to where you need it.

Just gonna have to wrestle the rear end a little. Same thing on my buddy's 2nd Gen you shouldn't hurt anything.

Now that I've got my 99 done I can finally whore it out in this thread. I used OME 881's in front and Dakar rear springs. There's about 200 lbs of sand bags in the back.

Lol I mad that comment almost 7 years ago. I have now had the 881s on for 50k-ish miles and they are sagging :(. Time for something new but I'm not sure and don't want to spend too much. I loved how the truck cornered and stopped because they were very firm but potholes and washboards are very rough and I have slight bump steer even though the... Camber... (iirc?) is adjusted to the max....

thanks. ome 883 coils, dakars + aal, ome shackles & nitrochargers. tires are 285s general x3. was hoping to purchase a bumper over black friday with a check that I got due to a shingle lift falling over and scuffing my truck, but this is my 3rd wk on strike @ work. no telling what is going to happen.

Hello, I purchased the Old Man Emu kit a back in March and needless to say I am not very satisfied with the performance of these struts. I was told to go with the 882OME coils paired with their 90004 Nitrocharger shocks. Every time I hit a small bump a very noticeable clunk comes from the passenger front. I looked at the shock to realize that the dust cover was freely moving inside the coil. I disassembled the strut to see if any of the washer had become fouled on the shock rod as I noticed this upon first assembly. Long story short I cannot get the strut to tighten down whatsoever. I have used coil compressors rented from Oriley's and I also took them to a local shop with a wall compressor with no luck. Do I have the wrong shock and coil combination? I have seen other use this same setup.

Oh and these have less than 20,000 on them. This "OME Rattle" is a whole different story.

The part numbers you list are correct. I have the same setup with 882s and the 90004 nitrochargers. I have not experienced any of the symptoms listed.

Did you check that all the bushings were installed? Seems like an easy mistake to make when assembling the coilover.

Used the oem jack to push forward from my hitch up against one of the leafs end to get into the hole on the plate. This hassle along with a LOT of delay from vender that I purchased all front end parts and this kit from EMU was a pain in the ass. The delay was the worst. But I have an all new suspension now about to hit 200k gonna try for 2 more. Still tryin on the hidden winch photos guys. Lookin for some steel wheels and a camper to build a sleeping platform. Thanks for all the suggestions and info folks
