It can be done around $1500, but you should plan on $2000-$2500 to leave room for....complications......I did mine for around $1800 and did almost all the maintanence myself

I've been in this boat for at least 8 months. I think I'm leaning towards @YotaOverAll 's setup with the 10mm spacer.

Doesn't ride rough to me with it...I did have 3" spacers on stock struts though lol but its a truck so I did t expect it to be the best

Make sure the nut and extra threads don't touch or cut your cv boots at full compression.

OK, I’m about to join the OME party next week.

    I have 881’s and Dakar’s going on a 95.5 extra cab V6.

I have a question for you guys. I want the truck to sit close to level and don’t plan on putting much weight in the back. Should I remove a leaf from the pack prior to install? If so, Is it the one third up from the bottom?

    Thank you for the help,

    -Jeff

From what I've read, you can remove the 3rd leaf from the top and/or the upper overload leaf. Each one is supposed to lower it about 1/2". This is just what I've read so maybe others can chime in with actual experience with this

Took my overloads out like 5 years ago cause my truck had rake. Don't haul anything and it still sits about the same height lol

That’s pretty much exactly what i did. 880s and Dakar leaf pack minus 3rd leaf.., but I went with 5100/5125..
It’s exactly what I wanted.. Not much lift and improved ride... Note I have a reg cab 4cyl... if I had the 6cyl I might have gone with the 881s... slightly taller but same spring rate... as she sits now the rear is a bit higher that the front...

I have the same truck and took out of the main springs after I installed the whole thing. I forget exactly which one, but I wanted less lift than the full pack and I wanted a softer ride.

    They’re still stiff!

Our year truck has shorter springs so I think they ride stiffer than the longer ones used for 98-04.

Alright, somebody tell me I’m crazy and talk me out of it.

I’m thinking I’m going to take out the third leaf AND the Largest over load.

I was shooting for that as well, but now read and got 886s. How are they working out?
