Thanks brotha. It rode super rough on the way home. Discount put 40psi in the tires. Dropped it down to 30 they are a bit rougher than the load range c I had before but not bad. I had 285 duratrac on my other tacoma and they always seemed rough regardless of psi. Overall I'm happy with my current setup. I'm glad I bit the bullet and got wheels instead of spacers.

Go bomb some dirt roads or find a neighborhood with speed bumps it will speed up the process. Springs need to be compressed to break in. I would leave them in for now. Most people complain about 881 not having enough lift

So heard a little bit of a clunk last night transitioning from street to driveway. Re-checked torque values today and found my U Bolts were off a little. Torqued em back to 90 again and will check again.

Adding stock 1st GEN torque values/sizes for reference:

    Front
    Lower Shock Mount (19mm) - 101 ftlbs
    x3 Front Upper Shock Nuts (14mm) - 47 ftlbs

    Rear
    Front Hangar Bolt (19mm) - 116 ftlbs
    U Bolts (22mm) - 90 ftlbs
Shock Bolts (upper and lower) (17mm) - 53 ftlbs

OME Greasable Shackles (22mm) have a different torque value from stock - 60 ftlbs per side (see attached below)

    *if using OE/stock shackles: (19mm) - 67 ftlbs*

@boostedka Im hoping you can help me out with a tire fitment question. i found this tire on CL. A brand new Mickey Thompson Baja MTZ.
Im thinking about buying the tire and buying a rim that matches my set to keep as a SPARE.
BUT... the CL tire is a 33x12.5x17. im running 33x12.5x15 currently.
    my wheels are Pro-comp 7069:
    • Wheel Size: 15x8
    • Backspace: 3.75
    • Offset: -19
the only 17" matching wheel offerings are:
    • Wheel Size: 17x9
    • Backspace: 4.75
    • Offset: -6
    AND
    • Wheel Size: 17x8
    • Backspace: 5.25
    • Offset: 18
will 1 of these 2 options work on my truck as a spare? its a good deal on the tire so its the only reason im considering it. thanks!

i just installed the SPC UCAs.

Both of those wheels have much higher backspacing (Tire tucked in) than your current wheels. I would guess that either of them will have you rubbing frame up front with a 33x12.5". I know you said it's a spare, but something to consider. If you do buy one of them, the 4.75 BS wheel will yield less frame rub than the 5.25.

IF i do get a front tire flat i could always just swap the rear tire to the front. im just trying to convince myself haha! its a helluva deal to have a full size spare. $100 for a new tire is hard to pass up. i still gotta buy the wheel too. IDK, decisions decisions.

Exactly what @rngr said. With that 4.75 BS you will rub the frame for sure. On one of my old tacomas, I had 33/12.5's on 15x8 with 4" BS and that even rubbed at full lock on the street. So another .75" pushed in is going to rub even sooner. Like you said, in the even that you do need it as a spare, you could just flip it to the back till you get the flat tire repaired.

Everyone worried about wide tires rubbing and I’m worried about running 255s on 3.5” BS.

does anyone with SPC UCAs have an alignment result sheet showing "good" alignment #s. i have one scheduled Friday morning at a local shop. i called and asked if they knew how to work on adjustable UCAs. they guy said yes but the way he said yes didnt instill complete confidence. the shop has great reviews online so ima give em a shot. $129 for just the front end seems kinda steep. what are yalls experience with alignments of trucks with adjustable UCAs.

Honestly, imo it's hit/miss. I figured the dealership would be good for alignments (they were the worst). Took me 3 shops before I found a good one - all they do is specialize in alignments. Cost me 170 bucks (normal charge is 195) but they took care of it and had it dialed in hell, they even resolved this ever so slight off center steering wheel issue I've had forever.

Where are you located? Did you check your regional boards and see if anyone local can suggest a good shop? Word of mouth referrals are worth gold.

    EDIT:
since you have an 04 this might give you some idea - even though I still have stock UCAs, you still want to be in the same area.

MAX Caster (bring wheels as far away from cab mount as possible) then have them work the rest. At least that has been the feedback I've received here.
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/alignment-shop-in-the-south-bay.561732/#post-18439701

You can see how Toyota claimed that was the best anyone could do because I still was running stock UCAs. They had me negative caster. Well, the alignment shop was able to put me back into positive caster with the stock UCAs. Its all about the tech/their knowledge and taking the time to do a good job.

    Good luck.

My truck has SPC UCAs. When I got my alignment, they actually didn’t even have to touch the uppers. They were in spec when they were installed.

I have stock ucas. Went to the shop I normally go to for said it was all in spec, still pulls to the right and I have loads of positive camber. Of course I didn't think to ask for the spec sheet
