BPV bracket? If so, did you set it up correctly?

    If you aren't aware, it's this -
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/rear-brake-proportioning-valve-relocate-kit.210865/

If you did not install one, do it. If you don't want to fab one up, order one
    http://toyteclifts.3dcartstores.com...ing-ValveBrake-Cable-extension-Kit_p_134.html

If you did install a BPV bracket with the OME suspension, might need to be adjusted.

If you want to stay under 3inch. 881s will get a 4x2 double cab 2.5in no spacer plate needed. Could always get the 1/4inch spacer for more lift if the springs settle after a while.

Nice truck brotha! I would prefer to stay under 3" as a matter a fact 3" would be perfect. So technically i Just want to buy something that gets me that lift and of course have really dependable good quality shocks/struts to have a comfortable ride. So not plan to add any weight up front like grill or wench. Also, do plant to add weight to the back like tents or anything like that for now. So I wanted to get the best option for the money i have. Willing to fork out an additional $500 making the total amount i could waste $1,500.00, including mounting fee which i've called and they will charge me $267.00

Anyone know of someone here with a heavy truck and 4cyl. engine using OME springs?

The addition of a winch has finally found the limit of my 881s, so I'm looking to swap coils. I'm trying to find a point of reference with someone else's truck. However, it's very hard to find an apples-to-apples comparison because there doesn't seem to be many heavily armored trucks of my same configuration. If you know of anyone fitting the description above, I'd appreciate if you could point me their way.

    Pics for attention :p

based on a quick scan through posts it seems like the 883’s are ideal for added weight to the front end? i could be wrong though i dont really know much about any of this

Thanks, but I know. Looking for real world feedback from trucks of the same configuration. My truck, is much lighter from the get-go than others. I4, ext cab, manual trans.

    All-poo Baja. Yes, painted white.

I'd suggest the 882's. you're not that heavy with the tube bumper and a 4 banger. 883's would be fine, but maybe a little stiff. I'm heavier with the hybrid bumper and the v6 and I run the 882's.

Between the 882 and 883, I agree that the 882 would be best. I'm more concerned that either of them will end up giving me too much lift. I'm not about the torn boot life. haha.

If the boots are newish, they'll be fine.
If they are original, expect to replace them.
I did mine shortly after the ome lift, that was a few years back, boots still look great.

I read through your test of all the different springs the other night. You ended up with the 882+ atop spacer?

    882's only, no top spacer.
882 and 883 will give the same lift. The 882 will flex better and ride softer with less weight.
883's will feel a little bit stiff, less flex as well.
Personally, I would only recommend 883 for a double cab V6 with winch, bumper, sliders and aftermarket skids.
But a few are running them on xtra cabs with the same stuff and say they like them just fine. After running all three, and the pics in the thread speak volumes, the 883's will not flex as well.

I've got the I4 in a Regular Cab and I bought 880's. My front end is plenty stiff and they have never settled as near as I can tell. They are slightly more comliant than they were when new but still stiff. I have no douibt I could add a pretty hefty front bumper and it would just make the ride better.

In all the time I spent sitting around thinking of an objective was to compare my truck to the heavier configurations, actually weighing it never crossed my mind. Haha.

Y’all about over thinking something. Have a scale 5 mins from the house. Thank you.
