    About 500 miles into a new set of OME Dakars on the back. Bilstein 5100s on all four corners with the OME 881 coils on the front. It is unbelievable how much the Dakars improved the ride. Still settling, but very pleased with the final product after dropping the CB with some washers.

    yes you'll need new bushings. best to go with the OME greasable shackle kit and bushings. also make sure you get the exhaust hanger bracket (it repositions your exhaust pipe a little lower to clear the new spring pack) that's about all you need i think (at least for a basic lift)

    Awesome package! Is that the OME AAL or Headstrongs?

    I had pressed out the front OEM style hangar bushings and went with a poly bushing. One of them is squeaking like crazy. Going to pull the entire pack and see what's going on. May end up just putting in those Daystar Greasable in the front.

    They are the OME AALs. Let me know what you come up with, I think I may pull out those oem type bushings and use some formula 5 lube on them before I install?

    Did that. Used form 5 for the front hangars and the wheeler's poly they sent for the shackles. Word of advice, that form 5 is a PITA to work with and next to impossible to manually load into a grease gun. It can be done (ask me how I know :facepalm:) but honestly, I would just stick with the recommended grease for the OME Greasable shackles. I Haven't had any issues with the shackles but if I end up pulling the pack to re-do the hangar bushings, I'll put in another set of OME shackles and replace those bushings as well.

    Are the daystar front hanger bushings polyurethane ? Send me the link? What kind of grease is recommended for the OME bushing?

    Copy that, thanks man! I’ll pick up a set of those daystar and go that route right from the start. Should I just stick with the yellow OME ones that came for the rear?

    going down the same road I did with all the same questions. So the only reason why I went with different bushings (other than the yellow OME) is the info I received mentioned the OME bushings had reports of serious squeaking - something about not enough graphite or ?. Can't give you exact details because it was some time back when I researched all of this prior to ordering the kit.

    What I can say with certainty is many here have used those OME yellow and have not had issues. So, its a dice toss bud. Just going to have to pick a route and give it a go. With the amount of squeaking I've been getting from that passenger side main eye, I've thought about this quite a bit trying to figure out next options. Replace all of them with OME yellow and give that a try? Pull both packs and re-do everything to be sure I didn't botch something when I installed the AALs? Replace the main eye bolts with the Daystar and try that? So many choices. lol

    Oh and those SPC UCAs you have there, I just installed these. I ended up just setting the UBJ to the default position (position D - SPC logo facing tire). Gave it 10 pumps of Valvoline Moly Fortified (here is their doc on grease suggestions: https://www.spcalignment.com/subjectFAQ/SPC Approved Grease.pdf) and took it into the alignment shop and they dialed everything in. Can't say what is contributing more but with the SPCs and new rubber (255/85/16) ride is awesome smooth!

    Awesome man note taken. I have 883s and will be doing the AAL, hoping it doesn’t ride too rough but anything other than this tired ass stock susp should be an upgrade. I do have a tube front bumper going in the front which may help, we’ll see about the rear. It’s it necessary for me to extend the rear brake line? Axel relocation bracket?

    Extended Brake Line... so mixed thoughts on this. I've read some say its not necessary. I figured, came with the kit - paid for it - its getting installed. Done.

    The shims - again, mixed on this. I haven't had any vibrations but then again will probably add this when I tackle the squeaking bushing issue.

    FWIW, my rear brake line was stretched pretty tight with the standard Dakars. Didn’t cause any issues, but I’m much more confident in the extended line. Definitely worth doing.

    Yeah for my 95.5 it was absolutely critical to get the brake extension line. I tried to do the full install with the stock line only so I could report back to yall, but couldn't manage it. I'm not super mechanically inclined so maybe it's possible to pull off the install without it, but man my stock brake line was so damn tight during the drivers side install that I would have had to wait if I hadnt ordered the extension in the first place. Later years might have more slack in the line than 95.5s do though.
