I'm referring to the bolt in red.

Undoing the one in yellow will give you the same result, but found it harder to get an impact on there.

It will allow the assembly to move further down, yes.

Downward movement is what you need in order to get your LCA to line up with your coilover, correct.

The sway bar being connected limits your downward movement.

My sway bar is somewhere in the bushes behind my shed.

A big 3ft pry bar on the LCA did the trick for me. Just installed my coilovers yesterday.

Oh yeah I forgot the Allen key hole was on the end of the link. Did you get it Cutter? This is going to sound really wierd but I also found this tool really useful for squeezing certain parts together to get them to align. Use whatever you can in anyway you can to get the holes to align.

Yep. I had a little trouble getting the last set of 5100s in. I have a 3’ piece of 3/4” steel pipe I use for all sorts of stuff and wedged it in and sat on it. It gave me enough room to get the bolt shoved through the strut eye.

Is the sway bar piece I unbolted the LCA to sway bar link? 51ftlbs?

His truck looks like a 98 which would mean he has a different leaf pack than 01 and up.

Have to remember, like many have stated in this thread many times, the same lift kit will yield slightly different results on each vehicle.

Did the front suspension today. Nitrochargers and 882 springs. Going to do the rear nitrochargers and Dakar leafs next weekend. I’m going to pull the AAL off the leaf pack before install and see where it sits, hoping to eliminate rake. I’ll be putting the stock Toyota Bilsteins up for sale shortly.

New rims and tires next month @SellyKlater

Unless the stock suspension has 10k miles or less, they're just throw aways and not worth selling.

Yeah no one wants nearly 20 yr old tired suspension.

I included the AAL with my dakar pack. I read in this thread somewhere that the pack can sag after some time. Considering that I have a camper on all the time I decided to go with the AAL. I didn't notice much rake if any at all. Look back a few pages and you'll see mine for reference. Then again, like kwikvette said, every situation is different.

Damn, even though the front will settle, that's quite a bit of lift up front.

Just throw in the Dakar pack with AAL since you've got a camper shell anyway.

Let the front coils and leaf pack settle at the same time and enjoy the ride.

Here was the front shortly before I did the rears and install tires; Fox 2.5 up front -

Do you have do a carrier bearing drop kit for an OME complete suspension set up? I got all 4 nitroCharger shocks and 882 springs up front and the Dakar leaf pack without the Add a Leaf and new shackles.
I'm planing on changing lower ball joints and other suspension components and the UCAs but the carrier bearing is what I'm not sure on.

OME complete kit. 881 coils. Dakar Leafs. JBA UCA. 265/75-16 Goodyear Ultraterrain.
I had to do a 3* shim helped a lot. I still have vibes, currently playing around with spacers under the bearing when I have time and it’s gotten way better.. but me thinks it’s time to do some U joints soon anyways.

Installed 880s up front and Dakar’s without extra leaf in the back. Not super pumped about the rake. Everyone said 880s up front due to the single cab, 4 cyl, stock bumper. What am I missing?

May need to load the rear with a few bags of cement or something. 880s are what you'd need for about 3" lift with what you have to work with. The rear setup is where you need to focus attention. Are you using longer than OE shackles?
