    The leaf springs will settle down a bit. Give it a month or two.

    I’ve finally got tracking numbers for my kit. Ordered 8/23/20, due to arrive at my house 1/22/21.

    @Liverfool I’d add weight to the rear to start with, help those springs settle.

    Update on my setup:

    The 883s w/AAL caused pretty much all my u joints on the rear half of the drive shaft to go out. I pulled the shaft and all the joints had some sticking in the range of motion. These are OEM I think and it looks like they haven't been greased in years. So it seems the lift accelerated wearing of some already worn parts.

    I bought the 3 degree shims from wheelers and stuck those under the leafs. This caused me to run out of threads on the u joints so now I'm ordering longer u bolts while I wait on the shop to finish replacing all my u joints.

    Kinda frustrating how one thing leads to the next but I realize that's what happens when you fuck with cars. Hopefully someone will read through this and know that they should get the shims and longer u bolts when doing the lift. I obviously missed that part.

    I like to call that the domino effect. One small change here can, and does more times than not, lead to way more than expected down the road.

    @Liverfool
    i ordered same setup (2.7 X-cab) for my truck... but CS suggested 3/8 spacer. i told'em send it separate and ill think about. did you install a spacer up front and bout how much lift did you get? CS told me bout ~3" in back and ~2.5 front with spacer... im ok with 1/2" rack or settles to 2.5 in back. ordered from wheelers.

    Unfortunately I didn't measure before and after... wish I would have now. I believe that, the back was 3" easy. The front seemed like 2". Sorry, wish I would have measured.

    @Liverfool mine settled a bit but I ended up pulling the third leaf after a couple years, I’ll try and grab a picture tomorrow.

    For reference, here’s right after install, same setup as you

    Our trucks are very similar… My 0ME suspension is over nine years old… I think your truck looks fine.

    I have 881’s and Dakar’s, I had AAL as well but took them out because the rake was insane......I may add them back and down the road if the springs ever start sagging

    I love my suspension and you will as well!!!

    You're missing a few hundred pounds in the bed for a few thousand miles. If they don't settle enough for you, pull a leaf.

    UPDATE: Back end has already settled in a bit. I'm liking the look of it more and more. I'm glad I listened to many people and went with the 881s. I would not want the ride to be any more stiff than it is. I will post an update pic.

    So I installed the greasable shackles and would like to replace the front spring bolts with the same kinda hardware. Does anyone know or have a link where I could find something like that? I’d like to be able to grease the front like I can the back so when I have to pull those bolts one day I won’t have to cut them out like I did last time. Thanks!
