Have you herd if people are using the ome bushings or is it better to replace with the new ones?

I think most do for the rear, I haven't gotten around to installing my Dakars yet but did get the Daystar front greaseable bolt and got the rear OME greaseable bolt and bushings to install when I do.

I’ve already got my Dakar leafs in with the geasable shackles (love em). During the install I had to cut out one of the front bolts to get the old springs out. The nut came off but the bolt was seized. I found one just to get my truck going cuz it’s my daily but wanted to get geasable to avoid this problem in the future. Thanks for the help.

V6s in both trucks. Let me see if I took any photos right before I sold it, and hopefully with no weight in the back...

Ok, found one from the day the head gasket went. Last time I drove that beauty

They really didn't settle much. Dakars are fantastic for constant load, or putting weight in the back. I sold it to my mechanic, and he doesn't keep weight back there, so he wants the OEM leafs back.

OME 880's with dakar leafs. 2" rake... put my tractor forks (~250lbs) in bed. gonna drive it for 300mi or so to see how much they settle. id be fine with a 1" rake. handle and drove great... axle wrap is gone!

Just in case you guys wanted to see what the new EL part number rear springs look like for our trucks, I’ll post a few pictures. My kit finally shipped just for ups to lose one of my springs. ARB made it right, but told me that they were sending me a complete new set, and to trash the old CS part number spring. I didn’t understand why they were sending me two more springs instead of the one I needed, that was lost. Looks like the main difference is the leafs are spaced apart, they look better to me. I’m thinking that’s an assembled spring and shock together. As long as the shocks and springs are available, no worries, you’ll just have to assemble the strut like I did with mine. I got the nitro charger shocks and 2883 springs. I’m not sure about that though, just my opinion.

Not sure. @Wheeler's Off-Road Inc did the assembly when I ordered my full kit. Perhaps Josh or person monitoring their account can comment?

    Another update:
I'm having a heck of a time with my driveshaft. I had a shop replace the u joints but they didn't balance it. I should have taken it to a driveshaft shop instead of a regular shop because when I reinstalled the driveshaft I get some vibrations from 20-40 mph.

I took it to yet another shop that is more familiar with lifts and he threw in some spacers (about 1") to lower my carrier bearing. The vibrations lessened but are still there.

Realizing afterwards that this guy just guessed at the solution without ever having measured driveshaft angles I took it to another suspension shop and they recommended I get it balanced.

So I'll be taking it out again, get it balanced at the driveshaft they recommended, stick it back in the truck, then take it to the 2nd lift shop and tell them to make any left over vibes go away. I'm trying to save a little money by removing it myself.
