    TL|DR

Currently my truck has a spacer lift with AAL. The shocks/coils are tired, and leafs almost flat, after hauling over 2k a few times.
I'm thinking of ordering the OME kit. Problem being, I'm new to off-road, and don't know which coils are the best choice.
The truck has always had a Leer installed. It will stay. I do plan to have a winch, although a full winch bumper is not likely.

I'd appreciate some input from others.
What would be the best configuration?

    Here's the truck.

If you’re like me, you’ll build it for one thing and then you’ll either get bored or your interests change and then you’ll do something different to your rig. That said, I’d remove the spacers and go with the 883’s because you might change your mind down the road and do a full bumper setup. Just my $0.02.

I saw on a chart (I think in Wheeler's) that the 882's were the ones you want for a heavy front end. Is that chart wrong?

I believe the 883’s are the heaviest rated springs that OME offers.

I was looking at the 880's, and "possibly" stepping up to the 881's MAX, due to my planned minimalist, center-cut out winch mount.
From my reading, the 883's would be way too stiff.

    Thanks

They have more. I’m not at home so I can’t post the pic I have on my computer but pretty much any Tundra, GX, and Sequoia coil will fit. How stiff do you want it. I think I’ve got a misordered set of 886 in my shed for my GX460. They were too stiff under the 2uz for me.

    I have a brush guard and a V6. I plan on getting a bumper with a winch. I don't think I'd need more stiff than a 882 or 883. Lol

Good to know. I guess I should have said that the 883’s are the heaviest springs that OME offers for our specific vehicles—not necessarily what will fit. Even then, I could be wrong; I found 883’s to be the heaviest when I did my initial search.

3" OME, 883 coils, Nitros, AAL, 07 FJ Trail team wheels, K&N CAI, Tundra brake upgrade.
FWIW I have a double cab 4x4 with E load tires and a stock bumper and I put 883’s on there in hopes for putting a bumper on which I’ve put to the side for 3 years now cause I have too many hobbies and the truck rides like a fucking wagon lol. My CV angles aren’t bad either luckily so take it for what it’s worth lol.

IMO, 883's, unless your rig is REALLY loaded down, it's overkill.

IIRC, I have 881 with 3rz, plate bumper, and winch. Then dialed it in with 5100s on middle notch.

I understand everyone wanting to get it right with spring rates the first time and be done while running the OME shocks. But if you have any desire to add a bumper and/or winch, IMO, 5100s are the ticket. I actually am running Tundra 5100s which have a much beefier lower mount and assumed increased valving. It rides very well also.

I been looking (like many others) for an OME-9804TAC (kit) in stock.
It's crazy. GD Covid-19, this is ridiculous. OOS everywhere, and I desperately need new shocks.
I can't even track shocks, unless I buy piece by piece. Even going that route is a PITA.
I'm no mechanic, but I think I can handle the install. I like the--->>"Keep It Simple Stupid" methodology to get me to a point I'm familiar with off-roading.

I would love to hook-up with someone that knows their way around the suspensions, the installs. Someone near the Olympia, Wa area would be preferred.
Like I say, I can do the install if necessary, but knowledge is King.

Another thing is rear shackle length. If you’re 1-2” too much take then get shorter shackles. Not enough take or maybe some of the Carolina Squat, get longer ones. Simple fix vs fighting rear leaf springs.

Mine rides about level, now that the leafs are dang near flattened.

My being new to the off road scene, my son talked me into removing the sway bar, for better articulation.
After, the test drive proved it was safe. (A little body roll, but nothing to worry about.)
I decided to make the truck articulate.
Mind you, it was a virgin to these positions.
    Everything appeared to stuff nicely.
    I popped her cherry. :D

Now I really want to get an OME suspension lift.

I talked to Toytec today. I was told they are 2 months out from OME.
I'm a "I want it NOW" type, and do not like that wait.
I'm in need of shocks right now.
