Ah damn I can't remember his name. I was too excited about placing an order lol. I'm for sure sticking with the 882's. I'll buy an AAL and have it on the side and gauge whether or not I'd need it.

Blacked out badges-rims OME lift with 881's & dakar pacs, summer tires=BFG 31x10.5x15 on 93 4runner rims, winter= 265 75 16 DURATRACS on stock steelies,Flowmaster exhaust, deck plate mod, ARB front bumper
This picture is 10 years after 0ME installation....881.

The ARB bumper was not planned But sucking a deer through the radiator changed that in 2017. I was worried the 881s wouldn’t be enough but they’re fine however a winch would change things. Your 3.4 L probably weighs a little more than mine.

2.7 L engine and I initially installed the AAL but removed it after one year because it was too much. Can’t say enough about the suspension it’s great and I keep thinking I may need to put the AAL back in but not yet!

My single cab is pretty level now after a few months with the Dakar pack and 881's.

I have probably 150 lbs in the bed and a soft cover. Otherwise it's stock weight.

Lots of bumper talk and which springs etc. Here’s my notes I kept from when I did mine. Hope it helps someone else.

    Online weight estimates:
    5vz weighs 505#
    3rz weighs 370#
    Difference of 135#

I literally put my plate bumper and winch on some bathroom scales.
    Basic Elite Offroad bumper-98#
HF Badlands 12k winch with steel cable-90#
An increase of 188# over stock that is hanging off the front end.
188+370=558#, which is only 53# over 5vz weight. I did not weigh the stock bumper but it couldn’t be more than 15-20#.

I forget the source: “881s give a v6 2" of lift.” I went with 881s to not overshoot my lift goal and adjusted with 5100 perch height to make it what I wanted. Looking back I should have gotten 882s but I was playing it safe.

Called Cruisers and they had me on hold for 5 minutes. So I hung up and called Wheeler's. Guy picked right up and helped me out with all the dumb questions I had. He even helped me save a few bucks. So I placed an order for the full OME 882 kit. Can't wait to get it.

Same Kit I ordered there, last week.
Matt (the salesman) said it would take a week before my shocks got built, due to their work orders.
I got the DAKARs without the AAL. I already have one in my current leaf pack, so I'll use that if necessary.

Dakar leaf pack gained 3” in rear

You gained 4” from where the tired old springs were.

I believe 1/2" to 1" longer than stock should be fine. Just did a leaf pack on my friend's truck and 1" was just about the limit without bottoming out my deep socket.
