Axle shims for the rear axle should help bring the driveline closer back to a stock angle and eliminate vibes.

If the vibes go away in 4hi then you'll likely need to replace your needle bearing in the front diff with the ECGS bushing.

I only have vibes on startup is that also due to the needle bearing you think? Once driving I am good to go.

If you're referring to your Prerunner, you don't have a needle bearing as it's part of the front diff setup

Totally agree and glad you're offering this. My buddy @Ritchie did these for me back in 2017:[IMG]

I was actually planning on doing a U-bolt flip relatively soon and was looking at kits. Would be down to take them off your hands
How did you mount your bumpstops to them?

It's only useful to you if you are running the relocation plates too, are you?

And I extended the stock bump contact points on the frame:

As you can tell even with the AAL the dakars have seen better days as far as carrying capacity goes (that's ride height), hence the direction of airbags lol.

Yes I do have relocation plates with my dakars and AAL.
I recently installed the AAL's as I am getting a new topper this summer. The dakars don't handle weight the best, but I try and keep things light as much as I can. I wish the dakars were just more progressive is all. They flex good tho.
I went a little higher on the nitrogen in the shocks too which helped firm things up a little bit for carrying a load.

Why did you extend you bumpstops so far down?

I have the 4.25" durobump ones and they work well and don't let the leafs go too far negative imo.

What brand of wheels do you got? I've been researching wheels for my truck and can't find any steel aftermarket that fit!

The bumps were extended after cycling the suspension and based on the fact that the bumps would compress to about half their static height. After real world use is appears they compress 1" less than expected so they could be about 1" shorter. This is also based on I am running a 10" shock as vertical as possible compared to forward/backwards like stock shocks are oriented. If you compare your ride height and my ride height before I added a much weight as I have statically, we had about the same amount of space between the bump and the contact point:

[IMG]Untitled by Michael Halat, on Flickr

Bump spacers and shocks were mounted in a way to be able to go this negative:

    And droop this much:

I had a pretty perfect 50/50 ratio of up and down travel when all was said and done, but the packs can't handle all the extra load. The proper fix is custom packs and getting rid of the Dakar's all together but the airbags can act as a bandaid for now. Ideally i need Alcan's or Deavers custom spec'd to the static load weight of the truck not loaded for a trip, just my daily load. Then if I load up for a trip or load the bike in the bed I can have the airbags assist then. But for now the bag's are going to make up for the fact that these Dakar's are shot and can't keep up.

The most difficult part of custom setups is you don't always get things right the first time and your uses sometimes change. I honestly wouldn't even be surprised if I need to tweak these airbag mounts at some point. I mean I definitely will once I ditch the Dakar's and relocation plates, but that's life.

Are your wheels centered in the wheel well? Or are they about 1" more forward than center?

Gotcha. Yea it looks like your rear end has a good amount more weight. Especially with the moto you carry around.
I'll be curious how much longer my dakars last once I throw the topper on there. I'll likely have to go the same route with a new custom leaf pack down the line if I were to guess.

Have you flexed it out completely? I thought mine was centered until I flexed it out and then the tire tried to eat the front of my fender. Leaf springs don't travel in a linear path too

Yeah, it evenly rubs the fender flare, but just barely. I saw people mention the Dakars aren't centered, but saw others say they were. So naturally I checked and it seems fine.
