Currently putting on my OME front struts and noticed this gold washer. Is this the trim packer? Why is it only on my drivers side?

Not enough to have a build thread.
probably to accommodate for the extra weight on the driver side. Like you and the fuel tank. Ome rear springs are stiffer on the left side as well to accommodate for the gas tank weight

it looks like a tiny preload spacer to stiffen the spring a hair

    OME and worth every penny.
Yes, that's a trim packer. Driver's side has gas tank and usually you, the driver. More weight. Small truck, makes a difference.

Yeah, it's easier to make the left and right side coils identical for manufacturing purposes, then offer a little trim packer to help with the lean

I am curious how the 882's ride? I have 883's in my regular cab 2.7l and they are quite stiff. there is very little down travel left at ride height and average speed bumps at 5mph are quite rough (sounds like the shock maxing out its down travel mid air)

I'm also trying to figure out why they only list the 882's 881's & 880's for the first gen. should be the same damper and spring right?
