So I installed my lift over a year ago and it seems the front settled a little . I have 885s with 5100s set at 0. How bad would it be on control arms if I went up to 1.75? Or should I just go up to .85 ?

I have a 1.5" block in the rear. Would I have to add a leaf to level it back out . Maybe 2" AAL

Hello, before I answer your question, I must ask, have you searched for these answers yet using the search function below the welcome (username) panel? A lot of people will be against helping you if not, because 9/10 new threads can be avoided because the answer is already posted

BUT to be helpful still, the OEM control arms usually are only acceptable up to 3" of lift, anything higher and it is highly recommended both on TW and by vendors that you replace them. That will run you at least $375. Of those two options, going up to .85 is your best bet if you are going to change anything at all, because 1.75" may be a drastic change for you with 885s. However aside from those two options, If you are going to disassemble your suspension it is probably better to get the better coils, 885xs which are new and designed not to sag.

I have read that with the OME 885's it is not good to set the shocks on anything but 0. I could be wrong but I did a lot of research before I bought my lift and that was a general consensus.

Think they brought them in around 2009/10.

That's what I have seen searching here for the last 2-3 min.

Thanks for the correction, Chief. Looks like you don't want to set those 5100s any higher (And I am pretty sure it is the coils that sagged, not the shocks.) I have also seen a lot of people say not to even run 5100s with OME coils, and that Nitrocharger 9000s are what they need to be with. That being said your CHEAPEST route is to add a spacer, which I would not recommend as you will change your mind later. I think your best and safest route is.... New suspension. But remember, "Do nothing" is always an option.

Nope. Lol I just rant about mixing and matching lift brands when they have the pieces necessary that were designed to work together.

I bought all new 5100's, set them to 0 with 885x's and it didn't ride very good. Got the 9000 shocks and it rides so much better. 5100's worked ok with my stock suspension but not the OME's.

Ah I see what you meant now. I don't see it as a bad thing lol you are just spreading correct information. I came very close to using OME coils with my 5100's-the only problem was the sender thought he had 884s when he had Eibachs. And now that I think about it, I have also heard a lot of people tell others to run 5100s with OMEs.

5100s are adjustable and very popular, and not many people really want the stiffness of the Eibachs with only a 1.6" lift, so it is kind of lame that the favorite strut and the favorite coils don't go together. I wonder why Bilsteins don't have a different pairing option. If I were a 4x4 my next lift would be full OME setup, but I plan to do Maxtracs so I don't really count

    Check with this guy...
Pretty sure he still runs his 5100's at .85 with 885's

Running 5100's with 885's are fine no issues.
Not recommended to set them at .85 but it's not going to harm anything. Just don't add top plates. It will ride rougher.

Good testimony, though I have never heard someone say they rode poorly. Good to know.

What are you telling me for?? I know!
