What did you get for alignment specs with the Camburgs? As because of me they changed their website to state that they are meant for lifts up to 2.5 inches and not 3 inches. If you can post your specs from the alignment

I dropped it off this morning and requested 2.5 degrees caster. I'll update this evening when I pick it up. I will say it drove well to the alignment shop at 75mph.

I was only able to 2.0 to 2.2 Caster with 0.0 Camber which is garbage for 600.00 arms. Should have gotten LR UCA's where people are getting to almost 3.0 Caster. The alignment guy got me to 2.5 to 2.7 Caster with having positive Camber at almost 0.5. So my Camburgs are already sold and am waiting for a nice set of JBA High Caster arms for 425.00. Like I said this is why Camburg has now changed their website to state that these are for 1" to 3" of lift (2.5 recommended). Good luck maybe you will get better alignment specs. But please get the after alignment spec sheet to post on here

Just like you said, lots of camber but it drives like a dream. I may have things redone when I get the new tires mounted but for now it really is nice on the highway.

Not bad but, but definitely makes the Camburg's not worth 600.00. Like I said mine are sold and I'm going with these for 450.00.

For sliders/full skids, 886's would be recommended correct? Not going with a plate bumper yet but will have quite a bit of weight added.

Hey folks. I'm new to the forum and relatively new to working on my Tacoma (2010 Sport DC LB). I'm in a jam here, needing to get my lift install done by tomorrow evening, so I'm asking this question in a couple of related threads.

I purchased a kit from Headstrong based on good reviews here and opted for the 887's, LR UCA, and 5100's set at 0. I started the install today and was optimistic after seeing how many of you have done this. Now its well after sundown and I can't get the fricking strut up into the bottom mount. I knew it would be a few inches longer than stock, but I didn't think it would be as much of an issue as it has been. Any advice?? I tried the jack on top of the UCA method to no avail and am really frustrated at this point. It sounded like this is a simple upgrade from what I've read, but I'm stuck. Any advice would be much appreciated.

You may need to loosen the LCA bolts to get the LCA to droop enough.

Thanks slolane. I have the sway disconnected, I've tried with and without the UCA connected. It seems like the dust cover at the bottom is getting in the way some, can that be safely moved? Also, I did the strut/coil assembly myself - could I have screwed that up? I know the tophat and spring seating plate are correct, but is it possible that the spring is not lined up the right way?

You said you tried with the UCA in and out, i get that. I was saying loosen the Lower Control Arm bolts. If you have not done that, try it. It will allow the LCA to droop more making it easier to get the lower strut bolt in place.

The LCA is loose enough to get it down. If I push the UCA/LCA down far enough to get past the dust cover it pushes against the spindle. If I disconnect the UCA from the spindle to move it out of the way I can't push the LCA down far enough. Should I disconnect the LCA and bring it up under the strut? I feel like an idiot, seems like I'm missing something basic here.

Looking for advice. Yesterday I swapped my 885 ome springs for 887s on billies 5100, and now I feel a hum/vibration when driving. What could it be, how can it be fixed? This was not happening with the 885s at all.

I'd start off with an alignment... Then maybe playing with the carrier bearing?

Results should be the same for the 2016 Tacoma correct? I am going to go with the 887 and bilsteins at 0". Seems like setting bilsteins at .85 (first setting) is out of the questions. I was thinking I would go with 1.5" of lift in the rear. Also ordering UCA. If I decide to get a bumper down the road, I will switch to 886 if the bumper causes too much sag with the 887s.

I think you will be the guinea pig! Haven't heard of this combo on the 2016 yet.

    Also, did you read this?
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/what-you-need-to-know-about-lifting-a-2016-tacoma.395798/

From just reading the first post, I think you should be fine, but you may only get about 2" of lift since your truck is already an inch higher than the second gen. Also, do not set the billies at .85 when paring with the 887 coils. The lowest setting (0") is where you want them.

I'm running 887's w/ bilsteins set at 0" on my '16 sport. Gave me just over 2" of lift, and I'm running OEM uca's with no issues.
