OME Dakar mediums + extra leaf same as heavy's?

    According to Bilstein, the D29XL gives an extra 1.5in lift on top of the Dakar lift (for gen 3's at least). The EL46XL will increase spring height by 15mm and increases the spring rate by 15%, which comes out to around a little over a 1/2in lift.

    D29xl is for the old style dakars. The EL46XL is for the new version. "New" is relative since they've been around a year or two now.


    OP, you are correct. And if you really wanted, you could add a second AAL to make an even stronger pack. That's what I did when I had a lot of weight. Since then, I've removed both AAL and one of the overload leafs. Dakars are nice that you can change them up depending on if your build changes.

    At the time I put the aal in the medium dakkars I didn't need extended brakes lines due to the rear shocks I was running. But with the shicks Im currently running i i need to get the brakes lines. Just haven't got around to doing so.
