I hear you, I wouldn't believe it either brother. Maybe its the Kings working up front or the combo of it all. Whatever it is, looking forward to Moab road trip now. ;)

If you want EVERYTHING; Carrying capacity, insane flex, smooth ride, pure bad assness. Then go with a chevy leaf spring swap :D

My 5100's were fine with an AAL on my previous truck. Then when I installed the 5100's with my dakars on my current truck they were fine for a bit. Noticed that the ride worsened after a while and that the shocks were blown. Upgraded to ICON 2.0's with the dakars and couldn't be happier.

I know the dakars were maxing out the 5100's at full droop but not with the ICON's. I'm sure this played a part in why they eventually failed.

    Working on it now....UNDER CONSTRUCTION
My truck rides great with all the Dakar leafs installed. I couldn't be happier. You may have to review what else could be causing the problem.

I cant think of anything other than not having wieght in the bed. What else could it be? I cant think of one thing other than what i stated above that would cause a stiff ride.

just read a little earlier on amongst all the threads that 5100's are only good for 1'' lift in rear. dakars provide 2.5-3 if I'm not mistaken, so not the greatest combo is what i've gathered so far today. but I'm no lift guru, kinda new to all this and all the info I'm taking in is over whelming so anyone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong lol

Why do people get Dakars if they don't carry weight and want a cush ride unloaded ?

I don't plan on carrying weight, not on a regular basis anyways. I was looking into dakars but now I'm a little unsure. what would you recommend? the all pro standards?

I ended up taking the 3rd leaf out and added 1" toytec shackles to compensate the lost lift from it. It does help, also put on some skyjacker hydro 7000 shocks which help aswell. I think my biggest issue is my E rated BFGs.

Sure , standards or the Wheelers HD leaf pack , depends on how much lift you want too

well my goal is to get 3'' in the front and hoping for it to sit level, so lets say 1'' rear but I don't mind if the rear sits a little higher so I wouldn't argue with 2'' or even 2.5
