Good point, the Dakar's are designed for weight though.

I believe that all ome suspension setups are designed to carry weight, it's just how they ride. They will feel harsher until they're at the proper weight they're designed for. Australians like to carry heavy stuff everywhere apparently. They aren't a suspension setup like fox or Kings or icons, they're purpose driven for carrying stuff across Australia. I could be completely wrong but that's what I've gathered from conversations in the past.

    Coil spring rates

The spring rates for the OME and OEM are:

    -OEM (factory) 550 lbs/in
    -OME884 590 lbs/in 385mm
    -OME885 590 lbs/in 395mm
    -OME886 660 lbs/in 402mm
oem is 550 lbs. and ome is 590lbs.-660lbs. the increase of as least 40lbs. of spring rate over the oem coils and Dakars leaf springs in the rear are causing the OPs truck to ride like a buck board. hence the title of the thread he created. it doesn't matter if the omes are the same rate they are over the oem spring rate this causes the ride he is complaining about, we are not here to discuss ome spring rate comparison amongst ome springs only to address why his truck rides harsh. I thought you put me on ignoreo_O
