Ome Lift/Dakar Leaf Pack Questions

    Currently have 5100s set at .85 to clear the 265/70/17 tires but I want to do a full suspension upgrade for both the front and rear. my stock leafs are nearly flat and bottom out over speed bumps or when under load, and id like a more long term option in the front. Due to minimal off roading besides the standard rough WV roads, I figured the OME kit would be the best option.

    Looking to get about 2-2.5 inches in the front (i will be getting LR UCA regardless, just want this height to avoid vibes) and roughly 1.5-2" in the rear. After thorough research, I figure that the 884 coils w/ nitros would net me the desired lift in the front with my DCSB but my concern is the rear. Since the stock leafs are so shot, an AAL is not an option. The Dakars seem like the consensus to be better anyways, but I'm concerned that even w/ the third leaf removed, ill still have a massive amount of rake. I've searched as much as I can but it seems there aren't many people who took out the third leaf so the first hand accounts are limited.

    Does everyone think that I would keep the rake to a reseanable amount w/ 884s, trim packer, and dakars with third leaf removed?

    i say go for it! i run 884 and dakars, no leaf removed and a top plate up front.. the rake you get should be an acceptable amount, meaning that it won't look way high in the rear but you will have some rake, if you don't you will end up eventually running low in the rear, especially with any load in the bed.. go for it!

    How much lift did you get from the dakars, and what size spacers are you running?

    Also is your truck a double cab?

    Couldn't tell you because I'm currently in Sicily lol. The rear of my truck is completely stock and I imagine that, even if I didn't have the 5100s in front @ .85, the rear would still be less than 2" of rake as compared to the stock front. Stock leafs are TOAST

    Well when you get back to your truck measure the rear hub to fender and compare that to the average returns in my Dakar thread , that will give you a good idea what to expect
