    Just like 30 years ago blood pressure standards were lower same with cholesterol. Doctors and pharm. Companies decided that they could make more money with lowering the blood pressure down to 120 systolic from 130. Same with cholesterol.
    With money and good lobbyist. Anything possible.
    Same thing with the flu different flu strains. Added the liberal media. You got a combo to make alot of money!!!!!

    A few things:

    Lower blood pressure levels have been demonstrably shown to be correlated with fewer cardiovascular health problems. It's not some conspiracy to make like easier for pharma companies, they're just taking advantage of it in their marketing. Because, y'know...money.

    People were less scared of dying back in the day too. Many things that are health problems now were just aging back them. Back pain is now a health problem. 50 years ago, your back hurt when you were 70 because that's what backs do when you're 70.

    "Liberal Media" is an ignorant term to apply to today's media conglomerates. "Consumer media" is better. All the major "news" networks, and that includes Fox (which can hardly be called honest), are out to sell their airtime. There is no depth to which they will not sink to get you, the viewer, to tune in, because that is their revenue stream. Why do you think that news broadcasts don't exist on cable news? It's all idealogues (Beck, Hannity, O'Reilly, Olbermann, Maddow, etc.) throwing poop and misinformation at one another.

    That people even tune into that feces is frightening to me. I haven't used my television for anything but football and movies in close to a decade now.


    As far as swine flu:

    If you're not scared of driving on the interstate, you have no excuse to be scared of swine flu. Obama declaring it a national emergency made me laugh out loud.
