On Board Air Tanks - Where to Mount?

    '17 ACLB 4x4 MT
    Mounted mine under driver side, on top of cross-member with thick rubber pad between the two. Currently held with large zip ties, but will replace those for metal straps at first opportunity. Pump is in engine compartment just forward of the battery. Manifold is mounted to eng comp wall above OEM breaker box. (I do have protective covers on all of the QDs.)
    Blue hose goes between manifold & tank. Tank is a DC-9 crew oxygen bottle, about 2 gal, able to hold over 3000 psi (but my pump won't get it there!).

    I remember having one of these engine driven outfits on a service truck. POS when its -40F............... Started in the shop in the AM and fed it gas all day!

    How much pressure are people setting those small tanks anyways? Just curious how many tires they can air up with them on average and if it really saves much on time and the compressor duty cycle.

    Finished it up today. Beach ready. Double cylinder shop air compressor so no waiting on the air. 50' retractable line, i can air mine up and do my buddys without moving. One way to fix a problem. .
