I don't think some of you guys posting realize that ARB has two different compressors now - the traditional "mini" and a newer high-output compressor. The air volume specs on the HO in CFM at 0psa and at 30psi match the VIAIR 400c.

If you want to operate an ARB locking diff, you need to do some additional set-up if you're not using an ARB compressor - if you overpressurize the diff, it'll blow out the seals.

I'd rather go with something with 100% duty cycle.

To run the arb off another type of pump you only need a manifold and a regualtor for about 80psi, iirc. Easy stuff.

'spose it depends on what you're using it for.

continuous duty compressor with tank seems like overkill (more cost, more weight, more storage space) for just airing up my four 33" tires from 15psi back to 30psi at the end of a day of wheeling.

I am running the new arb compressor & mini tank that is rated for both front and rear air lockers plus the tires. It takes me roughly 3-5 minutes per tire to get mine up to 45 from 3-10 psi. Thats in the cold.

    Pictures with mini tank.

    I like overkill :D

Good to know that ARB finally has a decent compressor though.
