That's why I'm here. I know what truck I want, but I'm looking into the rest.
Hello from Kentucky. I'm not a current Tacoma owner, but my wife and I are set to buy one soon. We are looking for something around the 2013 model year and are set on the off road package. Initial plans are for an overland rig with the snorkel and ARB bumper. We are still in the planning phase and can't wait to start assembly the rig. I currently have a 1999 Ram 1500, but I am wanting something more capable. I can't wait.

Welcome! Just to clarify, snorkel doesn’t mean you will be good to cross water. Snorkel was designed for desert/dirt so the intake would be higher than the dust you kick up. Most people did not know that.
The highest level of water you may be able to go thru without problems of breaking down is center hub cap height (due to diff breather tube)...stock intake is way higher than the tube. If you mod the diff tube, then you can clear up to the under belly without damaging electronics... the stock air intake is still higher.
