Why is this a discussion?..... It is a discussion like any other discussion on this board. This topic was meant to generate other people's thoughts and feelings about the matter. I mean a lot of people have provided excellant feedback which I greatly appreciate. I mean i could easily say the same thing about your statement above "Like no power seats" I could care less about power seats. As far as your other statement about "whining" who is whining? I just mentioned what I plan to do when I get my new tacoma. I am sure that 90% of people who get their new tacoma will do something to it. Some may tint their windows, change their floor mats, get new wheels, or any other number of things to change the appearance of their tacoma. You totally lost me after your second sentence.

Tyler, take a look at the Toyota web site for the 2016 tacoma. They have a video of a 2016 Tacoma driving off road through the desert. Please take a look at the video and tell me what is the configuration of that 2016 Tacoma. Let me help you it is a (Limited). I am saying this to address your statement above "When you buy a limited it is assumed you won't be leaving the pavement"

Have a nice day Tyler and no I am not buying AT tires to say "look at how tough my truck looks because of the tires"

That depends - the Silverado I just lost had Wranglers on there that were pretty decent. Rock crawling tires .... no ... all around good tires with decent OR grip and durability - yes. Didn't feel the need to change them at all. Michelin LTX M/S 2's may not be the OP's thing but they are a damn good tire for a lot of people on and "off road". If all you do is beat around on easy dirt roads and many desert roads they are perfect. That is still OR to most people. I recognize it for what it is but i spend a lot of time on those type of roads. Often they are complete crap to drive on with washboard, bad ruts, washouts etc - sometimes more than that just for fun. I need (ok, really I have come to appreciate) a truck with decent suspension and a tire with decent grip bit it does not need to be able to race Baja or crawl up the steepest gnarliest that Moab can throw at it.

My '04 Tundra had to change the tires out by 25k when it was new - and every 30k or so on various tires until I found the Michelin LTX M/S 2's which I was near replacing after 80k when the Tundra perished ... its been a rough couple of years around here for the fleet.
