I use a radar detector and charge my phone while driving my car. I just got my 3rd gen last week and have only noticed one power source (the cigarette lighter in the dash). I am somewhat dissapointed as most "splitters" do not stay in the plug very well (bumps make them fall out or get loose).

Is there another outlet somehwere or just that 1? And what quick fixes do you reccomend in terms of power accessories to purchase?

    Thanks

Oh there's also a slot for the cable to feed out from the center console, closer to the Passenger but leading out to the front of the truck.

Love the creativity, just wish it blended more. A house outlet just looks so out of place right there. Not my style or preference but all that matters is that it suites your needs!

Thats a great looking option. Would prob be a pretty simple wire to the fuse box under the dash. I've been thinking about adding a back USB charger but I drive so my passengers can deal with dead phones!

    I use this.

    http://www.targus.com/uk/4port-usb-hub-ach114eu

It was $9 and change from Target. I've used it for a few years now and it holds up well. I can plug up to 3 phones and get them charged. 4 devices mucks up the system and slows down the charging a little too much.

I think you got one, but it's an "insey" not an "outty"... in other words.. it allows inward info to the head unit... not really good for charging something..!

OOOOOPS... I just realized that you don't got the Turd Gen...!! You got the 2 1/2 gen...

One end to the radar detector. Two wires to the correct "holes" on the backside of existing plug on back of mirror. Plug and play easy. I might could get a quick pic for you.
