2.0" and 2.5" are shock body diameters. Larger diameter = more fluid. Stock yellow Bilstein and 5100 are basically 1.5" shocks. 6112s are 60mm so they are effectively 2.5" class.

Don't worry about Icon "stages". There's no benefit in getting a package.

2.5" rear shocks are overkill for the kind of trails in Ontario. Only reason I got them is for extra travel from the Icon RXT design.

tie downs i got from Amazoom.
    pricey as sin but...

$30 for 2 of the threaded mounts (so $60 for all 4), but at the time of searching, it was the cheapest i could find them. Other sites either didn't have them or didn't show them as an item.
    https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B07FBYBP2N/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
this one saves you $0.35 per tie-down
    https://www.amazon.ca/Threaded-Doub...ds=l-track+rail+fitting&qid=1581382475&sr=8-5
when i say $60 is cheap for 4, those thieves at US cargo control will rob every penny from you. $15 for the fittings but $100 to ship a 0.88kg package (this is what my china amazoom package said it weighs)

other than that. the track system is the super track rails, which came with 2 of the hooped tie-downs
So far, spent $180 in total for the tracks and the mounts, plus $20 for the rivnuts and washers.

Can't be pricey as sin when your total cost is less than half of what I spent ($500) for a kb Voodoo crossbar :anonymous:

    I'm just a cheap cunt

    :bananadead:

I dont mind if it's a $5 part or the 3time price hike for it. It's the highway robbery shipping ( The $100) these people demand for it. If shipping was around the $40 mark, much like the C4 bumper reinforcement bars, i'd consider it

So when you compare $60 for 4 parts to the $20 for 4 parts oem price, yeah it's pricey in comparison.

it's astounding how much abuse those tracks went through and and which ones help up and which ones failed. The tred pro was a surprise after the little brother gave out. Definitely puts to perspective as to why maxtrax sit at the top of the hierarchy.

Yep, my usaction trax are pretty much maxtrax with a different name.

I sent pics of the mods to my boards that I did for snow and ice to the usaction trax guys, they loved it. :humble:

My bad, thought I spammed them here

All the traction nubs on the action trax are replaceable as they break with nuts, bolts and washers. I took it 1 step further and removed the bottom ground gripping nubs and replaced them with the same hardware.

I use my traction boards more than most people do, almost every single weekend in the winter. These have held up great so far, and this new mod really works. They dont want to run away from under the tires.

I looked into this service a few years ago but never did end up using it. It might be worth looking checking out.

Check out a pre made one from Washington. Mine theoretically should fit in yours.

aint @Steves104x4 our resident US friend?
the fittings themselves seem to be only made from USCC (dove pretty deep into the USCC trademarks and 2 other companies, 1 of which sells the threaded insert and is based in china) idk if it's a china clone, but it might be the same, hard to tell since i can't find part numbers that match.

If you do order some for the $15 or whatever, i might grab another 2 as spares incase i destroy 1 of mine. Just give me a heads up beforehand, i have ideas :spy:
