    I figured out that the squeak I asked you guys about wasn't coming from my UCA after all. It's difficult to pinpoint the source of the squeak while bouncing the truck. It turns out it's the LCA. I assumed it was the UCA because I changed them myself.

    It looks like the squeak is coming from the rear bushing. The guy who did the alignment said he really tightened them because they are known to slip. Would over tightening the cam bolts cause the squeak? Is the squeak just an annoyance, or is it causing damage?

    Any suggestions?

    Rubber bushings don't like to be flexed a lot. Just ask @Tech HoFFinaTor ...

    Whiteline sells a urethane bushing set for 2nd gen LCAs, but 3rd gen has a different hole size from what I read. I can't remember if it's the front bushing or the rear bushing that's different.

    @Norilsk
    I'll check out that podcast, thanks.

    @Windigo
    I either sleep in a hammock or in my back seat currently. I can easily see myself using this since they should be really easy to set up and de set up unlike normal tents that take a lot more time.
    Smitty and Redbear. I'll check those out tonight. Thank you.

    @Shveet
    I plan to use it for all camping trips, roadtrips, etc. At least 1-2 times a month throughout the year.
    Storage for it is a good question. I was just going to leave it in the backyard on a pallet or 2x4s and cover it with a tarp.
    Indeed, that heavy price tag is what's stopping me from the iKamper...
    For leveling, I was just going to carry with me some blocks of wood. I assume that should be enough to roughly level it out.

    Don’t forget about the Gazelle tents, super quick to setup and a lot more room than a RTT.

    I had that squeaking for about 5K kms very loud at every imperfection on the road! then after going thought mud it got quiet and since then never made a noise :notsure:

    That squeaking happened after changing lower BJ where C/A had to be loosened.

    Hey, anyone know of someone who does fluid film application in eastern ontario?
    I'd do it myself but I don't have a lift or even ramps and honestly i'd probably do a shit job anyway. Trying to look on google but so far the closest place I found is Sudbury.
    Thank youuu!

    for the couple dollars it is for ramps and a couple cans I say just get it done. Goal is to coat the entire frame as much as possible inside and out.

    I was using rustcheck (krown is also a good option too). I spray my own now since I have 3 of my own vehicles to do and it’s cheaper to just do it myself. Just be careful as the rest of the family will want you to do it too :annoyed:

    Check build thread!
    Any1 from Peterborough area? If so, where the hell do you find fire routes/service roads? I'm used to Caledon, where you turn off the road and find 7-8 different stock friendly trails within a 5 minute drive down a dirt road lol.

    Im going to advertise like a shameless whore.

    Go get yourself a OF4WD membership using the club code or if you registered already; check out the built in trail map on the website.
    Afterwards just go find a map like Gaia, or drop the $1000 for that fancy garmin overlander GPS tablet gps unit and have at her.

    I have a garmin 64st for hiking. Gaia on a iPhone is easier is really all I use now. On tablet would be better but meh. Works great.

    never heard of ihunter but anything with a "i" in the front i dunno if i can trust after the mid 2000s with iDog, Ipenguin, iCancer, iPod, iDanceDanceRevolution, and iCarley.
    (Jokes aside i know it's a hunting map, but i have no experience with it :D but if i recall correctly, it's just a region map that doesn't really show backroads which i could be wrong on)

    Honestly, Gaia has a free instance that just works as it is - what the subscription thing is, is for the different map overlays you can use; From fishing routes on the lake, to canoe maps with portage trails, to hiking and ATV.

    I recommend OF4WD since that is the group that allows us offroaders to use mark OFSC Snowmobile and ATV trails legally (since otherwise we would be trespassing) through a certain time of the year.

    Join a club like TEC or Bancroft Overland Club and get your OF4WD membership for half price. The OF4WD trail map is great but join club runs so you don't have to go alone. Having Gaia on your phone will help. The premium version is worth the money. There so many trails between Bobcaygeon and Calabogie you'll be a few years checking them all out

    Can’t speak to ihunter. Believe Gaia is more well known and used more by off-roaders. Many of the gps coordinates I upload are already on Gaia so many people are tracking and publically showing routes. Not labelled but non the less you can put together a trip.

    dose anyone have any recommendations for a good 4 season sleeping bag that dose not take up alot of space? A sleeping bag you personally have used with good cold weather results. Any input I'll appricate. Right now I have 2 cheep canadian tire ones and one from the 70's down filled but its just too old and too heavy and big. All are usesd. I have never had a new sleeping bag and this year that is changing..
