Thanks, The more I read and the more I think ome should be the way to go for me. Were you able to do the install yourself?

Because it was winter, and my garage is not heated I got them to do it. Plus at the time I wasn't too confident in my ability. Did the rear suspension over again in the summer and it wasn't too bad.

Really the only issue with OME is choosing the proper spring up front. It's hard to plan long term, if the weight on the front end is going to change. I did the front bumper and the lift at the same time for that reason.

Thanks! I will have to search since I have the 2.7L wich is lighter. And I don't plan a front bumper but we never know... haha

Maybe bilisteins maybe the better option. Can choose a coil and preload down the road if ya need to.

Almost 40 years ago (I was 7) my fathers company built the water treatment plant in Armstrong. I was the head gopher bringing tools and whatever to the guys. It is a different life up there.

I'm always debating on full ome or billies in front and dakars in back with whatever the shocks that fit... I want something good that will last, I know I will have my truck for another 3 years, then will have to upgrade for something with 4doors lol, by this time I will know if I am able to have 2 ride (I hope so). If I get something great it could be swap on the futur ride haha

Gotcha. Well the dakars out back are a go regardless. They can be paired with extended billies (if that's the route you want to go) or run with the OME's.

For the front, either will work. The only reason I didn't go with billies, was I didn't want to preload the shocks with that much weight, as it would affect the ride. Some guys run the billies with the stock shocks preloaded and they are happy. Billies are definitely more flexible in terms of adjustment. OME is a set it and forget it unless you change coils.

I would rather get the best ride possible with the wanted lift than compressed the coil like I have now (spacer) and feel like in a can lol! I might go with full ome when the time comes. Are you able to give me an average price for the lift without install? Even of I am set on it it might play in the decision lol I already know that bilstein are not cheap here like they are in the USA... so if ome is a little over I'll get it.

Your ride is going to be way better than spacers regardless of what lift, based on what I have read from people going from spacers to either lift.

I'll have to get back to you on the price, don't recall off hand.

Thanks! Spacers are a cheap way to lift and to get the look but damn why give a hit like this on the comfort! I still think my taco is comfy but beside others I see that it is not the best lol

Yeah I'm assuming that was when it was a military radar base? It's mostly just a reserve and railway town now. I worked for CN, that's why I was up there. Very interesting to know you've seen it there, most people would have no idea what it's like.

Some have gotten away with it, while others needed it for the alignment. I didn't take any chances and got them on a group buy. Figured do it all at once. I went with light racing. Fully sealed ball joint instead of a uniball. Better for our winters but not so me travel in comparison.

x2 on the LR UCA haha that's what I will be going with for sure, plus the fact they are adjustable is pretty sweet! saw a thread on here with some really good info about it but silly me didn't save the link lol something about adjusting the LCA as much as possible with the UCA set to 2 degrees before making UCA adjustment to maximize tire clearance. something along those lines, even had a nice video of how to adjust them.
