Its legal to open carry in Virginia and I do so almost everyday... even though I have a concealed permit sometimes its good to ensure people know you are armed.

On the flip side- If someone knows you are carrying- You become an instant target.

It's worth thinking about long and hard about what you want to accomplish by carrying a weapon (I'm a CCW holder in FL).
If you want to be able to protect yourself- Concealed carry might be a better option because you have the element of surprize.

I did it again. Got tired of paying truck payments and gas and traded in for a 2015 Honda Accord Sport since I enjoyed my 2013 Sport so much.
I wish open carry were legalized in Texas.

However I'd probably still carry concealed, since I prefer to have the advantage of surprise.

some of this, a little of that
I have a CPL in Washington and we cannot (that I know of) open carry. I love the looks from people when I am getting in or out of my Tacoma and they see me getting my pistol out of the center console. People are wierd like that around here though.

I open carry on my farm. I carry concealed everywhere else as it's illegal to do it here unless it's on your private property (with a few other exceptions, such as that for our LEO friend Tigerfan00).
