I cant wait for this weekend to get here. It is opening weekend for deer season. Well I guess bow season has been going on for about a month but this is just one of those weekends you look forward to all year.
Good food, good beer and great friends all make an awesome hunting camp.

Anyone else been itching? I cant seem to do much of anything productive at work today except troll around on here and going over everything to make sure it is all packed.

I feel your pain. Our season is already over, (CA&OR) but I couldn't even sleep the whole week before hunting season. Made me feel like a little kid. Boss was probably sick of me to, since all I did was talk about hunting. Good Luck!

 this is the first time in 15 years i won't be out on opening day. we are changing over to a new computer system at work and attendance is mandatory. i'm normally off at least three days of the week, but now i'll have to wait for the following saturday after the big'uns have went to their hdidng spots.

good luck to everyone else though.

One more week till gun opener for us. I took my buck with a bow a few days ago, so getting my 10 year old twins out with their guns on opening day of gun season is more exciting than any opener I've ever enjoyed. Yes the opener is kinda like a lottery and I would never miss it!!

RCBS-you need to quite that job immediately!! just messin bro. Sorry to hear that though.

i was crushed when they told us back in July. i was like "but, Boss...it's gun season...:fenforcer:, and he was like  "no training, no job." *sigh* the things we sacrifice to pay bills.

glad to hear there are still some people teaching self sufficiency to their children. be sure and reinforce the fact that they can fend for themselves if need be. most kids these days don't even know what Venison is. "eew, it didn't come from the grocery?? i'm not eating that!"
