My service dept. just called out of the blue to set up the TSB on my '08. I guess they would rather have some Toyota warranty money than just having the springs set on a shelf. They had ordered the parts and then gotten back to me and said the '08 wasn't covered yet. That was last month.
I really want some opinions on this before it is done. Is the ride overly firm when running light, will I now have to mod. the front to level it, ect. Imput please.

I will probably do it anyway as I do tow a trailer, big loads of firewood, ect. several times a year. And I did buy a truck for this reason. We'll take the wife's sled for smooth. I'll let you all know about the ride, height, ect.. :D

The ride feels much better when running light. Not as bouncy. And you barely notice the slight lift you get in the rear.

Consider yourself lucky coz a lot of people with 08's tried get the tsb and couldn't so I would definitely jump on it if they offerred.

toyota needs to set standards and stick with them nationwide. Goo for you for getting the tsb on an 08, but all dealerships should be willing to do it to 08's.

I'd recommend having it done. It is a firm ride, but that's a good thing for me. I load up my truck with healthy eaters a few days out of the week and it helps out. Once a month, I end up loading up the bed and without the TSB, I would be riding on the stops.

I spoke with Toyota Customer Service yesterday and they deny any problem with the 08 so far. Same at my dealership. They acknowledge the 05-07' model years as part of the TSB but not my 08' 4x4 access cab Taco. What now? Letter to Toyota and complain I guess. Any comments. Thanks

So the 08s are still running the 3-leaf?

    Toyota is lazy.

The newer 08s supposedly have beefier 3 leaf setups than the early 08s.

Have an appointment for the TSB on my '08 next Wed. This is after last month ordering the parts and then calling back and saying the 08's were not yet included. Maybe now they are. Mine came with the 3 leafs. They are also giving me new TRD shocks all around even though I only have 900 miles on the truck and already have the Bilstein's on my TRD truck. I just got back from the dealer verifing that they did have all the parts and all were the right #'s.

I keep hearing that this will raise the rear about 1.5". I figure the thickness of the spring and maybe some newness in the arch. I'm figuring .75 to 1" tops. I'll post my results.

you will like the way the truck rides with the tsb springs.....like a truck should ride. and to me.....its not as harsh as alot of people say.......to me it actually soaks up potholes and alot of the imperfections in the roads. plus the stance, although changed just a bit, looks badass!!

Didn't get a case #. Just called me up and said what date works for you. Mine is a 1-08 build date Gulf States truck.

Dude, I love the look and the ride of my truck after the TSB. It feels solid but smooth. And like Isocoee said, I haul people to lunch a few days out of the week and it never bottoms out like it used to.

So what did it actually raise the rear end do you think? No big deal about having to do anything to the front? Thanks.

It was raised 1 inch, that's it! I left the front alone.

I did get a case #. I also wrote a lengthy but civil e-mail to Toyota corporate and referenced my conversations with the customer service girl. the dealer, and the fact that my truck has the same components in the suspension as the 05-07 model years. I await their response.

    as other people have stated,
the more ingaged the 08 owners are,
the faster they will address it with early 08 owners

Got it done today. A day early no less. It raised the rear of the truck approx. .75" and the ride is firm but not harsh. Very happy with the result.
